Review: Throttle body replacement made easy - Great choice for DIYers. The auto shop wanted over $600 to replace the throttle body on my 2010 Dodge Caliber. This one was almost 10x less, was delivered in one day, easy to install, and worked the first time. Just be careful not to over-torque the four mounting screws, and do the proper ECM reset sequence after installation, step-by-step. I did the so-called "manual" reset which is described on many websites, and DOES NOT require a scan tool. Here it is in case there are any doubters: (1) Insert the key: into the ignition. Turn the key to the "ON" position, which powers the dashboard lights, but do not start the engine. (2) Wait for about 10 seconds: to allow the throttle body and ECM to initialize. (3) Slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way down: to the floor. (4) Hold the pedal down for approximately 3 seconds . (5) Slowly release the accelerator pedal: back to the resting position. Repeat the process: of pressing and releasing the pedal two more times. (6) Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position: and remove it from the ignition for at least 10 seconds. (7) Start the engine: and let it idle for a few minutes without touching the accelerator. The idle speed may vary as the ECM relearns the settings. No scanner required. No dealer required. Truly a great DIY experience.

**Q: Anybody ordered this part for a dodge journey? i have a 2016 dodge journey. also, what happened or what did the car do when u needed to purchase part?**
A: I ordered this part for my 2016 Dodge Journey se. Before I figured out what was wrong, my vehicle would isle up very high while driving 25 mph. It would take my vehicle so long to kick in and when it did it would still go slow. It also made a strange noise when starting and turning off the engine. The Throttle body has a sensor in it that cannot be bought separately and fixed. I bought the Throttle body and accelerator pedal and changed both myself (your accelerator pedal has a sensor as well). I didn't know which one it could be at the time so I bought both and changed both. My 2016 Dodge Journey Se works like nothing was ever wrong. There's a YouTube channel to show you how to do it yourself without paying somebody else to do it if you chose to do it yourself. My apologies for the long winded words. But I'm super excited I can help someone (Mind you I'm not a mechanic) because I accomplished this on my own. #SuperExcited Best of positive vibes to you on getting your vehicle fixed. Namaste

A: i purchased it for my 2016 jeep Patriot & i havent had problems since... you have to remember they make the same lart for several different cars but its the same part hopefully that helps u out 😉

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2014 Jeep Patriot replacement

It was for my 2014 Jeep Patriot and it’s only been about a week since I’ve installed it, but it’s working like a champ! The installation was very easy and fit exactly where it was supposed to and connected to the OEM plugs. I’ve seen other reviews that didn’t have the same connectors but mine did. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures but it was identical to the OEM that went bad. If anything changes I will change/modify my review based on longevity/ durability.
