Can fan direction be reversed? I have an enclosed container and want one to push and one to pull.

Yes. The faceplate and blade guard on the other side can be taken off and swapped, effective changing the fan direction. However once installed there is no electronic way to switch directions at will.

Where is the temperature sensor? I was thinking of using something like this to vent from ceiling into attic, so it can't be on back of the plate.

How big of a cabinet will one of these work for? My cabinet is 14 cubic feet.

My cabinet is almost twice that size, and my 2-fan setup works perfectly (1 intake fan and 1 exhaust). I don't see why you'd have any troubles and you could always add a second fan later.

The back of my cabinet it thin fake wood. Can I mount it in that?

If you cut it out carefully it will fit. The fan is very light and my cabinet supports it easily.
