Pure love
I stumbled upon the goodness of elderberry by accident. I was beginning to feel like I was getting sick and stopped at a tiny gas station/grocery store in the middle of Montana where they only sold health products. I purchased some elderberry syrup something I’d never heard of before. Right away I felt better and my cold never materialized into anything worse. The last few times after that when I’ve felt like I was getting something I’d reach for the elderberry syrup and every time nothing would materialize into a full blown cold. I’ve resently discovered my love of teas and herbal infusions and how healthy they can be. With winter here and so many people getting the flu I put the two together and found this elderberry tea! I first bought a box and sent to to my parents because they have been fighting colds. My mother said when she was a child that she would go out into the wilderness with her grandparents and pick wild elderberries, dry them, and drink elderberry tea all winter long to stay well. I bought a box for myself and am just so in love with it. With a little bit of raw local honey it is so delicious and is now hands down my favorite drink. This brand has such a beautiful presentation with its lovely box. It’s almost like unwrapping a gift each time I make the tea. Organic, non bleached tea bags, caffeine free, only ingredient is elderberries. Pure love.

Smells like toe jam but doesn’t taste like toe jam
Okay, so, the smell of this tea is really bad but it tastes good and elderberry is good for you so I drink it despite the awful smell. Does that make me weird? Anywhoo, random word of advice… avoid dandelion tea, which actually tastes worse than it smells.

Great product, taste is different but works well!
The package was delicate, be careful as it came with a softbox. The tea tastes different if you are not a tea drinker you will not appreciate it. For me, I have been drinking all different type of teas and it does not bother me with the taste. What matters most is the benefit of it as I have a an autoimmune disorder. I try everything natural, especially with this kind. A picture of my tea below.I feel good after I drank tea!

This Tea is Amazing
Let me start by saying that I have tried many brands of teas including: Bigelow, Tulsi, Traditional Medicinal, Yogi, Bentley, Liptin, Dunkin Donuts, and now Buddha. Of all, I rank the taste up there with Tulsi and Traditional Medicinal. It is so good without the need to add tons of additives including artificial flavoring and sugar/creamer. I drink it straight up and it taste just fine. The natural sugar from the berry must be all we need.As far as healing properties, I was fighting an internal infection (which isn't the main thing that elderberry can cure but I gave it a shot) and with a mixture of this and a serving of the syrup every morning, I managed to hack away at the infection and get my Drs approval that it was on its way out. Everyone is different and this shouldn't be treated as a fix all for infections, but I have had the syrup shorten the length of my colds in the past and wanted to give it a shot now instead of taking a ton of antibiotics. If you are a fan of fortune cookies or the fortunes on Yogi teas, then you will be pleasantly surprised with this brand.I highly recommend this tea. Even if it doesn't boost the immune system, it definitely taste darn good without the need of added sugar.

It’s scent doesn’t affect flavor
Yes it definitely smells unusual but it doesn’t taste like much of anything. Be cautious if you have an autoimmune disease as it can cause more problems than it solves. Immune boosters like elderberry can make your symptoms worse. I stopped after 2 cups when I learned of this as I have thyroid disease so I cannot say wether it helps shorten the duration of my cold.

Meh!
I am sick with a cold right now, so I was looking for a reasonably priced box of Elderberry tea. This one was about $7 so I figured I would give it a try. The tea came strewn about the box, and it appears the glue stickers on the side had already been removed. I am assuming someone sent this back? The tea bags were all sealed, so I decided to keep the product and try it out. The tea bags have an odd smell. I can't put my finger on it. Some people in other reviews have said mold, dirty feet, manure? I don't smell that, but it is not a pleasant smell. It was not as bad as some other reviewers have reported, but it still did not smell that great either. I steeped one bag for about 6-7 minutes (directions say to steep for 3-6 ) I noticed the tea looked really light, and thought maybe I should have steeped two bags instead. I added some Stevia sweetener and this tea tastes almost the same way it smells. It doesn't have a very good taste and is mostly bland. I was expecting more of a berry taste, but it tastes like bland herbs with a weird aftertaste I can't really describe. As I said, I am sick right now so I am hoping this helps, and the benefits it claims to have outweigh the odd smell and not so good taste. I will probably not purchase again.
