Why in the world did this double in price at Amazon????

Amazon sells this for 10 to 13 bucks, they are currently out of stock.  The 24+ price per is from "other sellers" that are trying to make a fast buck.  Just wait a while and when Amazon has it back in stock it will drop back to 10 to 13.

Amazon didn't double THEIR price. They were likely sold out and the price you saw was from outside vendors who can charge anything they want. In addition to selling items  from their own stick, Amazon is like eBay in that they allow listings from other vendors. The much higher price you saw was from an outside vendor. If you want the Amazon price, wait until it is re-stocked.

It can be frozen..I do it for work..but shake very well when defrosted!

The question is a legitimate for people with celiac disease who can become violently ill if they ingest gluten. Something can have no gluten ingredients to start (i.e., vegetable juice) and then be "cross-contaminated" if the  facility manufactures other gluten-containing items on the same equipment. Also, some preservatives contain gluten.  It is not worth a sensitive celiac having to go to the hospital for an IV drip-- and possibly deadly if you are in an area with no hospital beds during the present pandemic.  It is such an important question that I would suggest not trusting other consumers' answers. Instead, do your online research directly to the company to ascertain if they will commit in writing that this is indeed a certified gluten free product.  If you are just electing to be gluten-free, of course the same level of care is not necessary. But please, let's not judge other people's concerns with snarky comments impugning their intelligence.
