CrossLustrous Chrome Desk Set Replacement Ballpoint Pen

I have always liked Cross pens every since I received a set of matching Pen and Pencil in the early 1980's as a birthday present. My last set was given to me in 1986 again as a birthday present. I still have the set and its still working great. I recently purchased a Citizen desk plate with a Citizen clock and two pens. The pens look cheap but have mechanical inserts that remind me of the Cross mechanisms. I decided almost immediately that I would replace the pens with two Cross pens. I was not aware that Cross actually made Desk sets and in searching for a nice set of pens came across this Desk Pen replacement. I purchased two. I think the cost for one pen was a little high, but Cross items are dependable quality instruments, with lifetime warranties, so it the long run worth the cost. A little later I discovered that cross also made a Desk set Mechanical pencil, now the pencil really is overpriced. I purchased one pencil deciding that a desk set should have a pen and pencil rather than two pens. I may return one of the new pens because I cannot clip it to a pocket like an ordinary pen and really don't have a need for two desk set pens since I purchased the pencil. I was surprised and disappointed that this great brand is made in China. I have no idea how long they have been making these in China, maybe back to the time I received my first set. I do have a policy that I try not to deviate from and that is not to purchase anything made outside the US. Unfortunately, it is getting harder and harder to find items made in the USA, and this is a terrible fact. Nevertheless, these seem to be the same quality pens I know and love. I think that Cross could have placed them in a nicer package suitable for gift giving instead of the skinny box that they came in.

Way to expensive but writes nicely.

I had a Cross 10kt gold desk set for over 20 years and someone broke the little black tip off the pencil. Well I went on line and found the exact replacement in Black which I thought was very classy looking so I ordered 2 One for Black Ink and the other for Red ink. I never used the Pencil on the original set so this works out much better. Anyone need a 10kt Gold Pen or Pencil.

Reasonable price, reasonably fast delivery. Noticed slight scuffing on one of three items, surprising for new item. Perfect fit for what I needed.

An excellent desk pen that writes without bloats or smears. I have been a fan of Cross pens for years due to their quality and style.

This replacement pen perfectly matches the original one that came with the set that I received in 1981. So that should be a big reassurance to owners of these great pen sets.A word to the wise about using these pens (and pencils). Don't walk off with them and lay them down without putting them back into their desk set holders. Way too easy to misplace that way. Hence my need to seek a replacement, which, thankfully, is as good as the original.

I had this style desk pen years ago. This is a replacement. Stylish. It’s slippery. Get a good grip. I prefer the Cross broad blue refills.

Looks great for my desk pen set

Nothing wrong with product but there was no warning that I would have to pay £12.40 to Royal Mail for VAT and Royal Mail Handling Fee. Not obvious on Amazon website. Very disappointed.
