I have to stay off my right foot for another one-to-two months. But, my PLFA arrived this afternoon. And, it went straight from the box to my 2017 Nissan Titan's floorboard. Fit perfectly and snugly to the carpet. I only had to sweep the dirt and rocks to one side. Zero adjustments. And, I was on the road again! Remember that feeling of being 16 and heading out of the driveway with your home in the rearview mirror? Yeah, it felt like that. I can't express to you, enough, how very grateful I am! You should have called this the Liberator, though, because that is what it does for people who need to drive! Yes! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Freedom *by A***E on May 31, 2023* The left foot drive device gave me freedom. It fits tightly in my Ford Explorer, but it fits. The product is well made and sturdy. Easy to install with minor adjustments. It is easily removed when someone else drives. It is heavy and does not move however we lined the location where it sits with duct tape to be sure it is placed back properly after it has been taken out. It is heavy. It does not move when driving, a major consideration. It takes a bit of practice to get used to using the left foot to brake and gas but I am now able to get to Drs. appointments, do minor chores, and simply take a drive without having to inconvenience friends. Just knowing that I can get in the car and drive away is freedom of mind.Update 29 Sept 2023: Because of drop foot in my right foot, I continue to use the left foot drive device. Initially I only drove when necessary but after months of driving in which my brain has been able to shift the muscle memory from right to left, I don't hesitate to climb into the car and go. The device is well made and has not failed in any way. I highly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I call it the FREEDOM ACCELERATOR! *by J***Y on February 23, 2020* It changed my life! I have a right leg amputation, Now I can drive with my left foot. Also, did not have to spend thousands to equip my new SUV with ugly hand controls and permanent hardware to make it ugly and hard to share with my wife. I had to take an approved driver rehab class to get my license back. I needed to get signed off on the left sided accelerator and take the state road test with it. Perfect in every aspect. Just a bit to light. I used gorilla tape to secure it in place on a plush floor mat, now I just have to pull it out on the mat, and it goes back in place lined up every time. Makes it very easy to swap out with my wife driving. It took about 3 minutes to install. About 10 to 15 minutes to get it lined up properly. Thank you to the Vet who sells and manufactures them. Side note: if your vehicle has the stops in place to secure floor mats, you have to remove them. They wont allow the base to sit flat. Also if you have memory features on the pedals and seats, you will have to make sure that the other drivers setting does not force the accelerator to get pushed down.
