Got this to keep the Kia Boys from stealing my car with the TikTok hack. Goes in easy. Doesn't come out without the included key. I tried to pry it out with a knife blade but could not.

I think this is a great product, but the description refers to them as “locks”, but the item does not actually lock into the USB port. We have a problem with users trying to charge their phones through any USB port on any device they can find. This would not be a problem if they wound not end up somehow breaking them in the process. While this item does not physically lock into the USB port and can easily be removed with a small screw driver, I am giving this product 4 stars because it usually fits flush if not deep into the port and prevents the vast majority of users from trying to remove it...

In this day and age computer security can be a problem these little devices work wonders. It doesn't take much to put them in but, without the handy dandy removal tool you almost have to wreck the USB port to get it out. Well worth the money spent to secure office computers.

Easy to use and remove, does the trick for port blocking. Make sure on reorder that you get the proper color inserts to go with the included tool, though. Note that these are in no way "high security" locks, but will prevent casual (and up to semi-determined) access to USB ports. Tool is pretty cool.

They work great and are easy to use

This is one of a kind device and it's very unfortunate that its design is subpar. With a few changes it would have been much more usable. It's appalling to me that its creators didn't address them at this point, using it for 5 minutes made the flaws obvious to me. Use case: I often work in coworking places and I was looking to protect my laptop from accidental USB plug-ins with or without malicious intent. Recent articles show that it's extremely easy to hack into computer account with the proper tools, no matter whether it's running Windows or MacOS. I do need, however, temporarily open one port to plug in the mouse receiver (my laptop does not support Bluetooth). This port blocker does the job. I was worried that the key wouldn't reach the ports which are placed under the "lip" of the laptop case but it works no problem (see pictures). Pros: * Blocks the ports as advertised * Can hold one lock inside of the key (when closed) - see pictures, useful for temporary unlocks and locks. Cons: * Key ring hole is too small * Some ports require some fiddling to insert the lock (usually ports which combine eSata and USB etc); using of the key to insert the lock helps in those situations. * No container to keep the unused locks The main problem with the key is that the hole for the key ring is too small. My key ring did not fit into it so I have to look for a different way to hook it up to my keys. I wish the key was able to store the extra locks when they are not being used - they are small and awkward to handle. I don't usually carry around zip-lock bags with me. Obviously this device won't protect from any serious intruder who can buy the same Lindy key for $25 and remove the lock in seconds. But for bystanders and as a deterrent for amateur hackers this will do. At least it will slow down a person for an extra 5 seconds. For a bit more reliable protection I recommend disabling USB host controllers completely upon locking of the computer (in that case a reboot would be required to hack into), but then you won't need these locks if you do that.

Damit kinder/ schüler oder "unbefugte" im normalen Alltag nicht allen möglichen quatsch anschließen eine super Sicherung für die usb Eingänge. Die Stöpsel lassen sich einfach mit ein bischen übung, anbringen und wieder entfernen.

Per carità, il prodotto è di ottima qualità e fa esattamente ciò che dice, però prima di comprare una cosa simile consiglio di pensarci bene, perché non ci sono tanti motivi per volerlo...
