This book found in a vacation rental guided me to hidden treasures in Montauk unbeknownst to me, a fourth timer to Montauk. On top of providing comprehensive directions to trails in Montauk, the book is strewn with historical, botanical and biological factoids to help audiences fully appreciate the unique stunning beauty of Montauk's wilderness. The author, who helped design some of these trails, comes across as a true expert and a lover of nature. Though not a frequent reviewer of books, I feel compelled to express my appreciation here for the author's many years of professional service to preserve the natural beauty of Long Island.
