The Canon EOS Rebel T6/1300D for dummies book is a must-have supplement to the Canon EOS Rebel T6/1300D camera. The book has many illustrations and explains the camera operation and capabilities well. The for dummies book gives great explanations for beginners as well as people who have used totally-manual, auto-aperture (built-in light meter) and auto-focus cameras in the past. For beginners, camera basics are explained as well as operation of the Rebel T6. For experienced users, the book builds on the basics and gives explanations about the camera's functions that are easier to grasp and use than the writing in the Canon paper and electronic manuals. The for dummies books tells how to download important software and manuals that one might miss if they just peruse the paper manual (included with the camera). Without the for dummies book, one would need to read the Canon manuals (a bit tedious, with no humor) and may or may not ever reap the advanced benefits of the Rebel T6. I am on my second reading of the for dummies book as it has been decades since I used a "complicated" camera. The review of the basics was helpful as my previous experience with more sophisticated cameras involved the 35mm physical film type.

I've had my Canon for years but I recently decided I wanted to be better at using it so I picked this up to learn some things. Like all 'for dummies' books, this delivers helpful tips and information on improvement in a way that's easy to understand and digest. I'd recommend it for amateurs or people who want a new display books that tells people "Yeah, I take pictures," but in a cool, understated way- not like you're trying too hard.

This book has saved me about 6 times so far. When I can't figure out to do something I just look it up. Easy to read and is in layman's terms so I don't have any problem trying to figure out what I need to know. Great product, came before due date and in perfect condition. Thank you for such a great item that helps me so many time.

Nice book, I learned quite a bit. The only gripe I have is that the color print quality of the book is poor to marginal. The first copy I received was a mess and several pages were not readable. The second copy was better but still had minor print quality issues. I included pictures of the first copy I received.

The instructions with the camera are ok but this is much more detailed and useful. Found number of tips in this early on that were not in the Canon instructions that came with camera. And so much easier to use than trying to work through the PDF from Canon. One flaw I found here is that they had a cheat sheet you could print out on line but despite several tries never could get their website to work to download this. Not sure if it is missing or what the problem was. Not a big issue but annoying. Whether long time digitial photographer or a novice this is helpful to get to know the new T6 camera I bought

Great instructional manuel at a great price!

I just recently went from a point and shoot camera to a Canon EOS Rebel and needed all the help I could get in learning how to use it. This book is exactly what it says. Easy directions and explanations about all the buttons and dials and settings on the camera and how to use them. I haven't learned it all yet, but I am slowly getting more confident in using my new camera.

Haven't read all yet but the book is well worth it! Even for a seasoned photographer, there's some tricks/hacks that every photographer should know within the pages A+ for the Author Julie Adair King!

No se nada acerca de la fotografia, pero me obsequiaron una camara reflex (canon t6), este libro en realidad es para "tontos" (como, yo :) ) en verdad ha sido de gran ayuda para entender para que es cada boton, entender acerca de la apertura/velocidad de fotografias, como puedes sacarle mas provecho a tu camara y demas. Excelente librito, llego super rapido y el costo lo considero bueno.

full colour book unlike some other reviewers have received, I have read few a fair bit of it already and it is very clear and easy to understand, I am a complete novice with my first DSLR and this thing is serving me well. It explains the basics and also gets into the finer more complicated detail without overwhelming you with useless information or technical terms too much, as a beginner this is a great introduction to my camera and photography and I can see this being the gateway to me upgrading my kit in the future with confidence after using this book.

Fantastic Book for a Novice like me. It gives all the details about the Camera and how you can maximise the use. After grasping all the chapters, one can start taking very good pictures.
