I wanted a sturdy tripod for camping and am really happy with this set. I like that I can pound the steaks in the ground and set things up quickly and easily. Not all campsites have good firepits so this adapts well to any size. Its very sturdy and holds my cast iron kettles with no problems. The bag that it comes won't hold the heavy contents, so I don't use it. That's why a star was taken off.( Make a better bag.)

I had bought this before directly thru SPG years ago. I needed a second set for the camp area in my yard.Since it has been quite useful and held up well (even when left outdoors thru all seasons).Got this other set.

Used this during a camping trip earlier this summer. The set up was easy. It is heavy wrought iron so seems very durable. Made campfire cooking much more enjoyable. Also could be great for reinactment- looks period accurate. The storage bag is flimsy, so I may have to find something else to carry it in eventually.

I added this to my new BBQ area (rear) and it looks great. The quality was better than I expected and has required some minor paint touch up to cover rust which is common with black pipe exposed to the weather. Note that the main posts needed to be pounded into the ground. If needed, I can move it over the main grill area and have two "hanging pipes" for a big cookout!The rack in the front I built with black pipe and fittings from the Home Depot which cost me more that the rear rack which included all the additional hooks, etc. making it a tremendous value.

I decided to keep the Camp Cooking Bi-pod as it is very sturdy and well made but sadly the nylon carry bag it comes in was already torn at the seam when I opened the box. It was only single seam stitched and for such a heavy bulky item I would havebeen happy to pay more for a heavy nylon/ cotton canvas bag that would last. This is what you get when you buy something that was MADE IN CHINA!!!

Great product for the money. Terrible company. I ordered the whole set from them. Only got two of the three pieces I've been fighting for 2 days with them about it and they're still trying to make. It seem like it's my fault and I'm overreacting but it said it was delivered 2 days ago. Amazon is involved. Please find this from a different company and buy it. It is a good product

They were so heavy i had to get my grandson to bring in from the mail delivery. But in this case that is a good thing! I highly recommend... in fact they were recommended to me by a friend. I am not disappointed!

First thing...the storage bag that comes with this kit sucks. The entire package weighs around 26-28 pounds and the handles on the bag are absolute crap. They placed the strap handles 2/3 of the way up the side of the bag so you can’t even carry it without it digging into your hands and aren’t quite long enough to sling over your shoulder. Straps placed halfway up the bag would have been better.Second, this gear is awesome. Super strong, no evidence of bowing on the cross bar even with massive weight hanging off of it. All of the hardware is strong and will last for years.
