Low FODMAP diet did wonders for me, a pro-kinetic (low-dose naltrexone) did wonders for me.... but I was still having SIBO issues. What gives? Well, it turns out most people with a raging case of SIBO should actually be AVOIDING lacto-based probiotics. For most people, yes, they're adding good strains to the gut microbiome. In SIBO, though, they're essentially just adding to the overgrowth. Gas on the fire. No bueno. Had a MASSIVE improvement in symptoms within a few days of switching to this probiotic (well, technically yeast) strain. My symptoms have always manifested as IBS-D. It's taken a long time, but I feel I'm finally past it. This probiotic was the missing piece. And since I've now tried both, I can say that Biotics brand is better than Florastor, cheaper than Florastor and without all the sketchy added ingredient Florastor has.
