Chef'n GarlicZoom Garlic Chopper, Small, Arugula

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This tool has changed my life. I know that sounds dramatic, but it really has. I've spent years, at least 10 looking for an easier way to mince garlic. I hate chopping and mincing it, it's small and awkward to do and so time consuming. The jarred minced just isn't the same and doesn't offer the right flavor. This led me to leaving out garlic in my recipes, not all the garlic, just one clove instead of three, etc. I've purchased every garlic press there is, from expensive ones, self cleaning ones, easy to use, all different shapes and sizes. None of them ever worked that well and were always a complete pain to clean, even the 'self cleaning ones'. I was shopping in Amazon for a new press, chopper, something or anything to make chopping garlic easier for me so I can and want to use a good amount of garlic easily. I came across this little amazing thing. I'm SO glad I purchased this. This chopper is small and compact, fits perfectly in my drawer. It opens easily and fits one large clove or two smaller cloves in it at a time. You just roll this bad baby back and fourth until you are satisfied with the size of the garlic, open the top and dump into your recipe. I give it a little tap on the edge of the bowl and most of the garlic falls in. Whatever is left can usually just scraped out with a small dinner spoon. Once I'm done I just open the top and rinse with a drop of dish detergent inside, close it up shake it around, then rinse thoroughly. I put it the strainer to open to dry. About once a week I open it all the way after use, remove the blades and wash the inside with a soapy sponge. I find that it doesn't really need to throughly washed with every use as long as you rinse with hot soapy water right away. I always peel my garlic before use so there isn't any skin to get caught up inside the device. Others may feel differently and do a thorough wash every time, to each their own. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher, just because of the rubber on the wheels may be compromised and I'm positive that it would turn opaque or not as see-through after a few washes. I like to be able to cleaner see how big/small the garlic is. Pros: Extremely easy to use Easy to fill and remove chopped garlic Chops very well and quickly Very easy to clean Affordable Cons: The roller can be a bit hard to get going and jam-up a bit sometimes Chops garlic in a rustic way, won't do a tiny mince A lot of the garlic gets stuck at the top during rolling - see below on how to deal with this However, none of cons should stop anyone from buying, just wanted to note them. For the difficult roller I will just put a towel down to give it more grip to start the rolling process, usually once I'm rolling it all good. The garlic being chopped in a rustic way is something I don't mind, but maybe others will. For the garlic that sticks to the top while rolling I just gently tap the roller on my counter to knock it all down then start rolling again, problem solved. Lastly, a tip to getting the most garlic out with the first dump; I turn the unit upside down and give it a few gentle taps on a folded towel and most of the garlic will be in the top area that pops open, just open and dump. Make sure to be gently, I could see this cracking very easily. Buy this garlic chopper! You will not be disappointed. Hands-down the best purchase I've EVER made.

Just put in 2 or 3 peeled garlic cloves and roll until the garlic is as finely chipped as you like. To get most of the garlic out, bang the open chopper against a bowl a few times. If too much garlic remains in the chopper, fill it with water, close it, shake, and pour the water with garlic bits into a strainer to get the rest of the garlic. Some people have griped about cleaning this little chopper. Cleaning is a LOT easier than cleaning a garlic press. Just immerse the open chopper in hot soapy water, swish it around a few times, then remove, rinse asnd air dry. Super easy and absolutely no need to get your fingers near the sharp little blades.

Such a wonderful addition to any kitchen. For the money this device is worth every penny. Not only does it chop or mince garlic but green onions and nuts. Careful due to the sharp blade when cleaning. it has safety guards up but you still can get cut if not careful. Not only does it save money for you but also time. it is a fast way to mince garlic without dealing with all the stickiness garlic leaves behind. the material is made to be durable and last a long time. I would highly recommend.

This modest chopper does everything the listing says it does. Chopping up garlic to desired size is super easy. My only issue is that I love a lot of garlic in my food prep. The size of this chopper only allows for about two large or 3 medium sized pellets at a time. I found I had to take some out in order for the wheel that moves the tiny blades to move easily. For me, I have to refill it 2 to 3 times to get the amount of chopped garlic that I want. If you cook for a big family and use a lot of garlic this chopper is not the top pick. But for medium to small meal prep or those who only like a little bit of garlic it’s perfect. It glides and chops quick and easy when loaded with the proper amount of garlic. For my needs, I will have to buy a small electric one. But I still like this one and will use it accordingly.

This is my second purchase of the Chef'n GarlicZoom Garlic Chopper. This one I purchased as a gift for my best friend. I have had mine since May 2023. The original once still works amazingly, and I do use it often! I love using garlic in almost all meals I cook. It is easy to load, unload, clean and the design makes it easy to use. If you struggle with holding a knife to finely chop garlic, this is your next best friend! Suggestion from the product is to load 3 cloves, but you can add more or less depending on the size of the cloves. Overall, it is a great price for such a handy gadget!

This is a great little gadget! I would say it shreds the garlic more than minces it, but the pieces are small enough and the effort needed is minimal. Cleaning is easy, but do rinse it off right away before the extra little bits dry on. I've tried other gadgets to mince garlic, but this is definitely the best.

This was a Christmas gift and it’s so easy to use! The blades are SUPER sharp inside so you have to be super careful to not cut yourself, but it doesn’t a fantastic job chopping garlic and it’s easy to use! It’s light and sturdy so I have no fears during use of being cut which is nice!

Right idea. More complicated than expected. I purchased this thinking it will solve my daily problem of finely minced garlic. It does a good job of mincing and chopping. However, taking it out of the chopper is sure to nick your finger and trying with spoons or similar tool means wasted produce. Unless I am missing some instruction, I haven't been using this as much as I would like to.

Ik heb gemengde gevoelens over de knoflookpers. Het is een innovatief apparaat, maar eigenlijk vind ik het niet veel beter werken dan een betere versie van een normale knoflookpers. Het werkt sneller, maar het is eigenlijk niet heel gemakkelijk om de knoflook uit de pers te halen en schoonmaken is meer werk.

Legit my fave thing in my kitchen. Makes dicing garlic so so so easy and quick. Just get one - absolutely worth it!
