I purchased the JUMPTOP Model N-13 because my car would not start when it was really cold. I live in Wisconsin, and we get really cold periods in the winter. The day my car wouldn’t start it was -14 F (-25.5 C) outside. I was really happy the unit arrived when it did, because it got colder. I charged up the unit, and the next day it was -24 F (-31 C). The unit worked great. When I hooked it up the car turned over and started right away. Of course, I drive an older car (another reason I bought the unit), so it doesn’t like the cold and wouldn’t stay running. So I waited the 30 seconds, pushed the button again, car started again. Finally, the car stayed running and I disconnected the unit. I had to start the car 6 times before it stayed running, and the JUMPTOP had plenty of power to do that, and then start my parent’s car also. And since it was only down to 3 lights (it gives you an indicator of how much charge there is—there are 4 lights to indicate fully charged) I could have started many more cars. This is a great unit, easily portable, light, and it even looks cool. But starting cars is only part of what it can do. It’s got 2 USB ports to charge phones and other devices. It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, so you can use it to power anything that you have to put into your lighter to use. The flashlight has different settings and is really bright. This unit is also the newest model, which I chose over the slightly cheaper N-12. It featured more amps (3000 versus 2500) and I thought the extra ones could help when it is extremely cold. Like another reviewer, I did have a problem with the start button. When the unit arrived the start button was all pushed in and hard to activate. The unit worked well (above) but the button concerned me. I contacted the company and they got back to me right away. They were very concerned about the button and told me they would replace it. They sent me a replacement that arrived in two days, and was perfect. This is an honorable company with great customer service and a great product. Will I purchase this product or another from this company again? Absolutely—this product is perfect as a Christmas gift for anyone who travels and/or drives an older car, and it is on my list for several of my relatives.

I buy and sell cars. So, having something to jump cars becomes common with cars that may have sat for a while, or someone left the lights on or the battery dies. I am used to the big lead acid jump boxes, and have seen these Lithium types online for a while but just figured no way that could work being so small, and most of them didnt have the peak amps I was looking for. I finally decided to try this one based first on the amps being 3000 which is the highest ive seen in Lead acid ones or Lithium, and the price was less than that of lead acid ones with less amps. I was doubtful this would cold start a dead battery so I intentionally drained a cars battery by leaving the doors open, lights on, and ac fan running for two hours. The battery was down to 8 volts. It would not turn the engine over or even click. I hooked this jump box up to it and PRESTO it started the car right up! Turned over strong start as if it had a fully charged battery. I am truly impressed with this and I am telling my car lot friends about it. I am going to keep this one in the trunk of my car since its so small. I hope it holds up well and lasts long, it does come with a 12 month warranty which is good hope I dont need to use it. **UPDATE** I bought this in July, it is now December. I have a classic Lincoln that I barely drive, and went to start it yesterday and the battery was dead. Since I had not used this jumpstarter since July, I sort of forgot about it and was ready to haul out a big battery charger and electric cords. Then I remembered I had this, and got it out of the trunk of one of my other cars where it had been sitting since July. I hooked it up to the old V8 Lincoln and it fired the engine right up! I went on my way and stopped at a store, went to start the Lincoln and the battery was still not charged so hooked up the jumpstarter and it fired the Lincoln back up again! This thing is unbelievable what it can do in such a small package, and how long it can sit waiting patiently for you to use it and its ready to go!

-16 degrees F out. 5.7 L V8 turning over hard when it’s below -2 F. Read the manual—States Li batteries are worthless below -4 F. So I kept this little baby inside with me. Went out to start, popped the hood clamped it on real quick. What had been grown-groan-groan-groan-groan the day before became va-va-voooooooooom!!!! Normal lead batteries are poor in the cold. Lithium are worthless in extreme cold. So, this handy portable battery pack is kept inside and toasty, run out and start my vehicle quick, and then I get to work and my battery pack comes with me inside! Now I’m the proud owner of 3 different brands of these, one each for my wife and my daughter. I would encourage you to read the owners manual and plan ahead. Great product if used right. Also overtemp is a problem so plan ahead above 160 F. In the summer I am looking at keeping it buried under a seat and insulated from overheating. But maybe not. Pretty rare to have trouble starting in the summer when I’m away from home. Might just keep it in the garage. Have 3 different ones from 3 manufacturers and they all say the same thing. All the Lithium rechargeable batteries are operating temp roughly +4 F to +160 F so you can’t just leave/ignore it in a really hot or really cold car and expect it to work. Also, have a lawn mower in a yard shed. Hooked it up to keep the battery at peak charge over winter. Works great and she turns over like it’s 80 degrees out! So, it takes some planning but what can I expect? It got to -34 Fhere the other day. Also I prepared too—sprayed battery acid terminal cleaner, cleaned terminals, used terminal grease, reinstalled. Also I have read some posts—look, if you put a higher quality charger booster on and she won’t start, and you did it right, you probs just need a new battery. These things aren’t there to raise the dead! There’s a good standard car lead acid battery that’s either discharged(“dead”) or so incredibly cold it’s lost most of its cranking amps (this product should help you) and then there’s a broken-cell/vibrated apart/oxidized to death/frozen lead acid battery (you need to go buy a new car battery). LOL.

I bought this while under the impression it was a battery charger, I was wrong. It did however solve my issue of my van not starting. I plan to keep it inside my vehicle charged, in case I 1 need to jumpstart someone else's vehicle, 2 need to jumpstart my own vehicle. It works great for what it is, and the flashlight is useful when digging through your vehicle that has a dead battery in the middle of the night. I would have rated 5 stars if it had more USB ports, as the 2 it comes with are just a couple too few in my opinion. Overall Well worth it for the peace of mind when it comes to needing to jumpstart vehicles. (I don't have to use my vehicle's battery / alternator now!)

Okay, first concern I had when looking at this was that someone said it didn't come with a charger or even the right cable. (Whaaaat? Why would they even do that?) Well, that's wrong. This product includes the proper charging cable, and as regards the charger, you already have ten of them. It's what you're already using to charge your phone, tablet, et cetera. Any powered USB outlet will do. You probably have three compatible chargers stuck in outlets around your house right now as we speak. So this company just saved you from having ONE MORE STUPID BLOCK TRANSFORMER sticking out of your outlets somewhere. You're all set. I purchased this jump-starter because I have a battery that is randomly going flat for an unknown reason, and although I have traditional jumper cables I don't want to get stuck trying to flag down a Good Samaritan in 30 below wind-chill. This is great insurance, and it makes it a bit easier for me to help others as well, without having to position my car in such a way that I can hook up jumper cables (ever try to get your car nose-to-nose with somebody on a busy interstate?) The jump-starter itself comes in a very nice padded case which will protect it from bumps, with good instructions and quality accessories, and was already about 50-75% charged when I got it. It charged up to 100% within about 5 hours, and I tossed it in my car. I like that both of the USB ports provide fast charging, so if you want to charge phones from this thing, pick any port--they're both fast chargers. (Some of these packs only support one fast-charging port, with the second one relegated to trickle-charge speed.) Overall this seems like a really quality purchase, but obviously I haven't had to use it yet; I'll come back here with updates after I get a chance to use it. At this point, however, I do think it's a good buy.

The first of these exact units that I purchased came and I gave it a full charge. It seemed to charge OK, but then I pushed the On/Off button and it collapsed completely into the unit and never did work. The second unit, a free replacement, came. I fully charged it and all seemed well. I pushed the button to turn it on and it did turn on without falling apart. We kept it in our vehicle for 3 months, pulled it out to help someone start their car and it would not turn on. No lights, no jumper ability. Very embarrassed from bragging about how great these little units were, I pulled out a much cheaper and different brand jumper/charger and it worked like a charm to redeem myself. I reported this to Amazon because the warranty online address kept taking me back to Amazon to be remedied. They immediately refunded my money. This type of lithium ion charger is a great idea, but I would not and could not possibly recommend this brand. I took the Jumtop into a battery store to recycle it the proper way and they said the batter was very good, but the On/Off switch and other parts were very poor.

The charger quickly charged to full capacity and when I put it on the terminals and cranked, it turned right over. The easiest jump start I've ever performed. No messy cables, chasing down someone with jumper cable, ensuring sequence is correct, etc. Highly recommend it for ease of use, cost, and mostly convenience. It charged the car but also can charge multiple phones. I wanted it for power usage only for charging my cellphones and running portable devices while camping and during power outages in the home. I think this a great thing to have around for emergency situations and makes a great gift for family members. It jump-started my car yesterday in one try.

I purchased this battery for the emergency starting of my car. I run several electronic devices in my car, and sometimes I forget they're draining my battery, so I needed something that could start my car, just in case. And it's wonderful. I don't have to carry around jumper cables or try to contact someone to give a jump. Plus, I have helped out many people with dead batteries during the winter. I bet I've sold 6 or 7 of these just by people getting on amazon and ordering it. I think I deserve a commission. LOL. However, it does more than start my car. I use it to keep my MacBook Pro charged using the USB-C port. Then I recharge the battery using the USB-C output in my car. I love this thing. It is one of the best devices I've bought on Amazon.
