Amazon Brand - Presto! Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent, Free & Clear, 128 Loads, 96 Fl Oz

I reviewed this product a couple of years ago when Amazon was testing it and I liked it enough to buy it again.However the packaging was a fail. Amazon tried. The whole bottle was packed in a box to stabilize it. The tops were covered with a rubber tape to try and keep the liquid inside.However, it didn’t work. A bunch leaked out and got all over the box. I have no idea how much was lost out of my “128” loads.Only 3 stars.

I saw Presto! advertised on Amazon and wasn't sure what to expect because there were little reviews on this but I thought I would give it a try. I am extremely pleased with this product.When I received the package it was in a box and the screw cap and spout were both taped shut. It was a good thing these were taped because when I untaped it there was a small amount of leakage from the screw cap. The bottle may have expanded during shipping but it didn't appear that any product was lost. I have an HE machine and this detergent did a fantastic job at cleaning my clothes and towels. After they dried I immediately noticed that my clothes seemed fluffier than when I was using a different brand detergent. The clothes have a pleasant smell and it is really no smell at all since I am using the free and clear but they do not have an odor. The detergent did a great job at getting the dirty clothes smell out. I plan to continue using this.My only suggestion would be to improve the packaging to avoid any leaking during shipping.

When I was younger it didn't seem to matter what detergent I used, but as I got older my skin seems to turn me into a real baby. My wife seems to be sensitive to scents as well. This like other free and clear works better. This seems to work as well as any of the top drawer brands. My washer has an automatic dispenser that adjust how much is dispensed according to weight and type of load. I am not sure how well it works but it seems we use more now. It seems to rinse without detergent left on clothes or irritations . Maybe we wasn't adding enough but the cloches seem clean. As for packaging we have gotten this on subscription for close to a year. It comes in a box all taped up and never had any leakage but it is normally packed into a bigger box with other items ( I am sure the mailman hates us ) So it is a non issue for us it seems. I found most of the Amazon brands are just as good as the brand names and normally cheaper.

Smells nice, does the job, convenient delivery, but despite Amazon taping the spout and the screw lid, and wrapping it in plastic, it still is a little leaky when you open it. I just wipe it off (it seems like a negligible amount of leakage), and I STORE IT UPRIGHT. It also leaks when stored in the pouring position. Doesn't bother me, as it takes half a second to tip it to pour. I'll keep ordering it.

The detergent is good but the dispenser is horrible. You need to tilt the container and use super duper one finger force to press some "button" to fill the cup. Then you place the emptied cup upside down so that the extra detergent can ooze on the can and onto your floor.I never thought I would see such a poorly -is the usual word ("stupidly" is a more accurate word) -for a detergent container.

The product itself is great. Maybe not my favorite, but good value, does the job, etc. The bottle, however, is the worst. The first delivery I received leaked all over the box. The second came clean. Both of these large bottles leak all over the place during use. You use the cap to measure liquid as you normally would, but once placed back on the container, the product leaks all over, even if you tilt it up vertically to store it when not in use. I usually wash/dry out the cap, which you don't usually have to do, and the product will leak all down the sides of the bottle and onto whatever surface is sitting on. Considering other options for my next purchase.

So far I have done 5 loads of wash using Presto and it is actually no better than the other bargain cloth washing detergent. The concertation of the soap makes it harder to use as I normally fill my front load dispense tray and with Presto you use less, about 1/2 the amount. I will not purchase again as there are cheaper detergents that do just as good or better job on cloths.Update, I have used about 1/2 of the detergent and honestly it is not worth the price. I will go back to using store detergent as it is cheaper and does the exact same job.

I haven’t used this yet so I can’t attest to its cleaning ability but it arrived without a cap which is rather off-putting for a product measured by “capfulls.” Exactly how am I supposed to use it? It has a handy little bit of information about how much is in a cap. 0.75 oz to be exact. But that means I have to measure out 3/4 of an oz in a shot glass or on a scale or something every time. 👎🏻
