Whether you collect or just love these magical small sculptures don't miss out on this catalog. I went to see the collection and fell in love with it but couldn't find the catalog. I was delighted when I found it on Amazon. Not only does it have high quality photographs but it also has an informative text. To go along with this catalog I would suggest ordering The Hare with the Amber Eyes which gives a good history of a collection of netsuke and how it survived the second world War. A must have book for Wood Carvers

This is the 'Bible' for Netsuke lovers. A massive volume with some 850 colour images of the highest quality. There is also plenty of interesting Netsuke history & a discussion of carving & colouring techniques used.You will not need another Netsuke book - this one has it all.
