The heater is well made and sturdy with all the necessary fittings. The instructions are a little wanting and a particular concern was the two pieces of bulb packaging that when opened is not obvious as being packaging. It would have been helpful if the instructions indicated and warned about removing these thin black packaging pieces that can be mistaken as part of the light fitting. In my case I tested the unit as working without removing these pieces and instantly they melted onto the bulb producing clouds of burning smoke. Fortunately I was able to extract the melted pieces of felt packaging that had stuck like glue to the bulb. This was quite a task in itself. Nevertheless with patience I did manage this and now have the unit working. Request to Blumfeldt - please include a warning/ advice note in the instructions to remove the indicated packaging before use ...this is not obvious as being packaging.Otherwise the heater produces good, projected heat maybe not as strongly projected as claimed and certainly limited to an area of 6m2 max on full setting. The remote has a good basic function with the three heat settings.. The unit has no indicator on the unit to identify which strength heat setting has been selected. This has to be done by eye watching the heat bulb luminosity increase by brightness. Conclusion... a well made, robust unit with 3 heat settings and good fittings producing adequate heat output at 2kw, complete with a basic remote control.

Although the heat output is quite good, it came with a European plug but the seller had used a UK adapter which was fine, however once the adapter was on, we couldn’t fit it into the outdoor socket. Also the cable length was too small so we had to move the socket up so it would reach. And after all that the plug wouldn’t fit into the socket. Yup-didn’t try it before moving the socket....before anyone asks 🙄

Very pleased with this product, if I can find a negative it would be that the panoramic range of the heat could be wider
