I wanted to know what is so special about glutathione that without it there is no life. What an awakening I got when I started to read the book, even before I read about glutathione. There were some shocking statistics about the sharply deteriorating health of US, UK and Europe. Even more shocking was the warning or indication that parents are likely to outlive their children. You'll get the reasons when you read the book.Like the good teacher she is, Dr. Baker gives the reader a brief summary after each chapter that helps to reinforce what was read. She tells us what glutathione is, what it does, why it is essential, and importantly what is depleting our glutathione supply, including the thousands of dangerous industrial chemicals that are affecting us and the hundreds of drugs linked to liver damage.However, my favorite chapter is the one that tells us what glutathione does for us. Dr. Bake gives us a list of goodies from glutathione and goes on to explain in more detail, what each one contributes to our health and well being. This is a book for essential reading in developed countries.
