Running on a whole nother level
I am a runner and run with a group of ladies at 5am 4 times a week. I count on my music to keep me motivated and push me to the next level, and let me tell you I have left my headphones at home before and the morning was just not the same. My productivity was low. Up until recently, I had been using the Sony MDR-WO8l as my sports headphones of choice and had been really happy with them. But after a little mishap where they flew off my head and onto a concrete floor, I found myself in the market for a new pair of headphones. It was the first time in a long time that I had ever wrecked a pair so I thought I would look and see what was available and find the best one of the bunch. After testing a couple of headphones, I decided on the Sonxtronic XDR-8000. I really really like these headphones. If you are serious about working out and listening to music, you won’t go wrong with the Sonxtronic XDR-8000 sports headphones. First and foremost, the sound is definitely better. I was personally very happy with the original model, but these clearly take the mark when it comes to better quality audio output, the good realistic bass, the crisp highs, and the super clear mid-range tones were literally music to my ears and feet too. But sound output quality is not the only reason that made me choose the Sonxtronic XDR-8000 headphones. Apart from all this royal treatment I was getting from the sound quality I found them to be way more comfortable than my old headphones. These headphones are lighter and come with a longer, more durable cord, and there is a nice finish to the product which makes it not only feel great, as it rests comfortably on your ears, but I think it looks fantabulous on me as well. And the price, let's just say the price was the icing on the cake. They are one of the most inexpensive of the bunch that I tried, and are just as good as some of the top of the line sports headphones on the market. I don't know about you but I'm loving my new headphones and if you need a new pair I would definitely cop a pair. Enjoy, I am.

Perfect
I wear glasses and it's very hard to find a headset that is comfortable over long periods. Generally, after less than an hour my ears hurt and I have to quit. These are very adjustable, very comfortable, and have great sound quality - surprising for their size. They are so lightweight that you hardly notice you are wearing them and I have no problem wearing them for hours. Love these so much I bought a second pair in case something happens to the first one I bought.

Great fit, decent sound, break too easily
I started running years ago with Sony MDR headphones and those are my gold standard but they are now discontinued. I don't like bluetooth - I end up messed with battery issues, or connectivity issues, and instead of running, I'm just messing with my headphones. Wired just works. But I am apparently in very small company with my opinion because after Sony discontinued theirs, there are not a lot of alternatives. These SonXTronic are the best that I have found but I have a like/hate relationship with them. I like the fit and the comfort and the fact that it is wired. But I just go through them. The earpieces will snap off if you aren't careful and I have had the in-ear speakers go out if they get too wet (which happens frequently while running). I've gone through a lot of sets of these things. It feels like I buy one set a year for the last 7 or 8 years. At any given moment, I will have one working pair, then it will fail usually on the day of a planned big run - so I'll run in silence for like 2 hours - and I'll order another pair. Like I said it's a "like/hate" relationship. They just so flimsy. But they are the best that I've found. And the price isn't outrageous when you figure I use them twice a week every week for a year. But it feels like they should be a bit better constructed... and yet, as soon as I finish this review, I'll buy my 8th or 9th pair. Because there aren't a lot of choices and this is the best of a bunch of bad options.

Great, comfortable headphone, but not very reliable
Great headphone very comfortable and very clear sound. Though, beware they do not last long. I bought one in 2024 last year but second one in 2025 failed last week. Both failures were intermittent broken wires. Brake happens mostly at the connector probably due to excessive movement while walking or running.

Finally a good, light headband without painful earbuds
I am one of those people who used and miss the small Sony collapsible headphones of a decade or more ago. My ears cannot accept shove-in ear buds as the cartilage is slightly too narrow for any comfort. In fact, I get ear aches trying to wear even small spongy ones. So, this set is a gift from on high. The headband is a trifle loose, but I do not intent to go jogging with these on. These are for freeway driving (legal where I live) and for big old jet airliners. I recently took a 5-hour drive with these on and they not only occlude (keep out) a lot of road noises—not all but a goodly amount—but they remained comfortable the entire trip. That's both headband and ear pieces being comfortable. It is nice to have both in one piece. Sound reproduction lacks a bit on the bass end but the midrange and highs are clear and crisp. I would not use these for home listening where I want to sit back and enjoy a piece of classical music, but for traveling I would say they give me more than 90% what I wanted.

These 'phones will NOT do the trick!
I haven't had the opportunity to compare these headphones to the Sony ones that everyone seems to be raving about. Rather, I am comparing these to my old Apple earphones that I have been using. Because I have very small ears, it has been difficult to find an earphone that fits comfortably. These headphones are very lightweight, comfortable and stay in my ears without slipping. I have not tested them while running yet, however, they seem very secure when I shake my head quickly back and forth. The sound seems fine to me, I do not have high expectations, coming from an Apple earphone, but the sound these produce has a much higher quality and volume to those which I previously had. The cord is a bit long, which may prove to have its uses. There is no volume button, but that seems to be a feature on more expensive headphones. I really like the headband style, which allows me to rest the 'phones around my neck when not in use. This makes it easier to keep them in my ears, as the old bud-style ones were always slipping out and dangling around. A huge upgrade for a decent price! Update: 2 months later, the clip that holds the ear piece has broken off and the head phones are unusable. I ran about 15 miles per week with these. They were not comfortable, I had to keep adjusting them while running. The jack is very large and as such was hard to plug into my phone through my standard armband. I have contacted the seller about a refund. Still have not been contacted by the seller, so I am downgrading my review to one star. I would appreciate some of that customer service that I see others have received after their earphones broke in the exact same manner.

Best headphones for me
I have used this type of headphones for years, I use to buy the ones made by Sony for $12 from street vendors in NYC until they started charging a ridiculous price of over $100, then I found a dollar store in NYC that was selling the same style by Telstar for $3, so I bought 20 of them, which is all they had, which lasted up until I purchased the one from you. I think you have to be very careful with the wire getting pulled, which happens often if I'm working out or rushing or maybe there only suppose to last for a short time, but most times the speaker will go out in one ear, which is no good for me, i need to hear through both speakers to drown out other sounds. I never liked earbuds, because they tend to hurt me ears and they don't stay in my ear for some reason, no matter what size.

Thanks SONXTRONIC for manufacturing a workable workout headphone
This headphone was bought to be used for workout and exercise. I can't use just a simple ear bud when I work out due to sweat and it then slipping out of my ears. The best headphone for me is this style of headphone, made popular by Sony at least 10 years ago. I bought several of those, loved them, but Sony stopped manufacturing them. Sonxtronic appears to be going after that untapped market. Sonically, I'm not crazy about headphones and an iPod. It sounds "OK", works well for talk radio, etc. Compared to the other headphone options out there, I think these hold their own sonically. Prior to these, I had some that clip over the ear. They were OK, lasted pretty well, but I eventually sweated them to death! These, so far, are much better. The adjustment on the headband is good, the volume is good with the iPod Shuffle, and the sound is pretty good. The real test will be how long they last in these brutal conditions!

Used as a replacement for Sony MDR-W08L - worked far better than wireless ***p
Like many others I was searching for a replacement for great old Sony MDR-W08L headphones, this is far cheaper and yes quality isn’t at Sony level, but not only it’s good enough replacement (at cheap price) but also far better than cr*p wireless stuff that falls out of yer ears or batter is junk. You can still use it as wireless like I do by getting one of the many cheap bluetooth received that support 3.5mm jack - overall package works great. Build quality is good enough, for sports too. 5 stars well earned - it’s CHEAP too.

使い勝手よし。
このタイプのヘッドホンは今や絶滅してしまったのでネットで購入。やはり最近のタイプのものより装着感が上です。できたら折りたためたら最高ですが。

Excelente fone!
