OUTSTANDING! I did lots of fondue hunting...how big of a pot do i want? electric or that fuel gel? stainless or cast iron or porcelain? What company? My god the list goes on and on...i ran into this one and thought what a novel idea it runs off of tea light candles. Love that idea...so simple. Light the candle and heat the porcelain and no worries it keeps the cheese great temperature, you could take this thing anywhere if you really wanted to do fondue outside your home, or over to a friends house and no cord to trip on or fuel gel to worry about just pop the candle under it and ready to go (I literally just got done with a fondue as I'm writing this). The pot is a great size for 2 people and could accommodate 4 but that would be tops. You do make the fondue in another pot on the stove top, however that is how you should do it then use the pot to keep it warm so the cheese and the wine can mix properly. The picture does this pot justice...it is elegant, beautiful and simple to clean. Tea light candles are so cheap ( I recommend the primelight ones - made in USA) i can't say enough about this little fondue set (yes, it comes with one tea light candle to get you started) I will definitely be going to Boska for all my cheese tools and other neat items they offer on their website.

It's cute, it's sweet, it's great, it's stylie but....it cracked in half the first time we used it--and I followed directions for use to a "t". What made the big difference is that Amazon responded quickly and immediately, sent a replacement by overnight shipping and provided a return label for the broken pot. We've been on the move and haven't had a chance to try out the new one, but I'm soooo hoping this was just one defective pot (other reviews would seem to indicate that's probably the case) because it is the perfect little pot for keeping queso, or hot crab dip or a number of other things I can't wait to try. Haven't used it for fondue, but it is one sweet, small little pot for keeping dips and drags warm and inviting. I like it/love it and hope the next one stays with me a long time.

I got this to have some fondue for friends coming over. We used the tea light it came with but within 10 minutes I heard this crackling sound and when I looked it had a crack going down the side. We immediately blew out the light and let it cool. We cleaned it out and the crack also went although in the inside of the pot. On top if that when we went to clean it it got black all over our hands from the candle like the pain or something was melting. It got on other things in the sink and it barely came off one thing. Just a mess and honestly makes me worried we ate out of it! Absolutely returning and would not purchase again! I was so excited and thought this would be such a nice thing to have. Despite its size it can really hold a lot and would be so great for get togethers if it weren't for these issue :(

I’m writing this review before actually using it…but I couldn’t help myself because it is SO PERFECT for my plans! It’s simple, casual and a perfect size for 2 people having fondue (which i plan to make for valentine’s day!! It has only a wood base, the fondue pot (that I believe is cast iron) and 2 swords. It has a nice weight so it seems sturdy!!!

When I received this fondue pot, there was some residue inside it. I thoroughly cleaned it and soaked it in water for two hours before the first use, and it worked perfectly. However, after cleaning it, it became obvious to me that the residue in the pot when I received it looked the same,and was definitely from somebody else's meal. Not a big deal to me as I planned on keeping it, but it is annoying to pay full price for something and receive somebody's return. Overall, a good product, but beware that you may receive something used -- I would not order this as a gift!!

I love this little pot! It is so much easier to use than a big fondue pot with the flame that I could never seem to adjust to be not too hot. The packaged fondue (which I must admit tastes nearly as good as my made-from-scratch fondue) fits perfectly and was plenty as a dinner for two people. The candle keeps the fondue warm enough, but not quite as hot as I would like it. You will need to stir often and get to the bottom for the hottest cheese. But it won't burn your mouth! The whole set, including the short forks, is very attractive and well-made. Be sure to follow the directions and soak it in cold water before the first use. I don't know if you are supposed to do this, but I turned mine upside down and filled the legs, then left it completely immersed for several hours in a big pot of water. It cleans up quite easily, too, if you rub the inside with garlic to "oil" it. Next time I might also spray it lightly with Crisco to see if that will make clean-up even easier.

Very cute! A little expensive but worth the quality. Worked well for keeping chocolate warm during a party. Easy to use and clean. Got lots of compliments!
