Moai Tissue Box Holder for Bathroom, Bedroom Dressers, Night Stands, Desks and Tables - Grey

I love the finish- like a rough basalt. Well constructed, sturdy, you have to force the tissue box in, but it stays once you do. A bit pricey but good quality. It is whimsical yet practical as a tissue dispenser and headphone holder.

I am a school counselor and have this in my office. It is one of my favorite things and always makes me smile! I have had students crying and when I offer them a Kleenex from this guys nose they have started laughing! Best counseling office tissue holder ever! (And I use the large Kleenex boxes. They will fit in with a good shove! There is no back to this so the back of the Kleenex box is exposed, which I thought would bother me way more than it does. I don’t even notice it anymore! I’m just smiling at the Kleenexes sticking out my friend’s nose!)

It took a few weeks to get to me in the States, and it was definitely more than I wanted to spend on a tissue box cover/dispenser, but ultimately, once he arrived and was set up, my concerns were wiped away like a dangling booger by a Kleenex pulled from an ancient stone statue’s gaping nostril. Bonus: When my partner came home and saw him, the pause, eye roll, and then immediate overpowering tear-inducing laughter that all hit made the whole thing worth it. I might have an issue with impulse purchase control, I admit that, but my partner - who gently-but-firmly tries his best to help me take a beat whenever I get wide-eyed and giggly about buying anything that triggers a joyful response so that I don’t go bankrupt - tried his darndest to be upset about Mr. Moco Moai so he could tell me to return him immediately… but bless his heart, he couldn’t get the sentence out even once. So we’re keeping him. And we love him. My concern with similar Moai statue tissue box covers/tissue dispensers was that they wouldn’t actually fit a rectangular box of Kleenex in the back of them, meaning you could only put a few loose tissues inside. While you do have to squeeze the box in just a tiny bit, it WILL fit a standard rectangular Kleenex box, but I’d recommend you get the ones that aren’t as tall. Get the rectangular ones that are a tiny bit flatter, and they’ll be better hidden in the back. The standard ones pop out of the back/aren’t flush with the back, but even if that’s all you have, looking at this thing straight on makes it hardly noticeable, and even looking at it from the sides and seeing the box sticking out an inch or two on the back doesn’t matter that much - HE’S JUST SO GREAT. Highly recommend if you don’t hate joy.

So often you receive an item more cheaply made or disproportionate from expectation. Not this time it is bigger than expected and fits a full size tissue box not just a tiny one. Only problem is the tisdues themselves i cant find any that pop upbthe next one to mske this work right but it is sturdy enough your not afraid to use it.

Fun tissue box but beware it is very expensive with shipping costs.

I bought this so my high school students would get a laugh or to possibly be a conversation starter. It also serves the main purpose of holding the tissue boxes for my students’ use. I think it will be a hit this new school year! I bought tissue boxes in bulk (from Sam’s Club) that will fit inside perfectly. The small rectangular boxes fit best…the small cube shaped boxes do not fit well; they poke out the back too far or fall out.

I’ve been looking at variations of this for years, and just couldn’t justify spending the money. Got an unexpected bonus at work, so decided that this is the time of all times to add some laughter to my home office and bought this particular Tissue Moai. He’s brought laughter to my online co-workers (some of whom got one for themselves!) and continues to make me smile every time I look at him. Well made, and should last for years. Should have gotten him sooner!
