Ayur Medic Salicylic Wash (8 oz)

Don't see much difference but it will totally dry your skin out if you use too much but I feel it would be great for oily skin my skin is normal and I didn't follow directions, I wanted fast results and my skin was dry as the dessert, it a good product, so I moisturize before and after washing now, give it a try

I purchased this item because I read a review about it on a different website, and thought I would give it a try. I suffer from adult acne; nothing I have needed to see a dermatologist about, I just constantly have low level break-outs. My skin is not oily, however I thought my skin would tolerate this product if I used a good moisturizer with it. I was wrong. I have been using it for 5 days and my skin is flakey and itchy. I have decided to start using the Ayur-Medic Salicylate Wash just in the morning and a gentler wash in the evening to see if I have any improvement on the dryness.Pros-Smells great. If you like lavender (I don't mean lavender scented candles or whatever that you can buy anywhere, this smells like lavender essential oils) you will enjoy the scent of this product.-Seems to do a pretty good job of washing my face. I haven't tested it with eye-makeup (I can only imagine the havoc it would create on such sensitive skin!) but it does a pretty good job of washing off the rest of my makeup and my skin feels clean and sparkly.Cons-My skin is dry and itchy and flakey. This is actually 2 problems. First, dryness makes your skin produce more sebum (oil). So, although my skin was not oily before, it may very well become that way now! Second, because my skin is itchy I constantly want to touch my face, which is a big no-no if you want to prevent future breakouts.-After using this product, my moisturizer stings my face. The first few days I did not experience this problem, but starting yesterday there has been a definite stinging sensation after applying moisturizer. I haven't changed moisturizer so I can only guess that it is related to the dryness.In the end I have mixed feelings. I'm hoping to see some improvement in the dryness in the near future and I will try to update in a few weeks. If my skin clears up I am prepared to forgive the dryness, itching, flaking, and stinging:D

I have been using this product for two months now. It’s fair to say that this it is what seems to be clearing my skin AND dark spots. I have noticed my skin feeling smoother and my pores much smaller. I don’t break out, and if I do get a small pimple, it disappears without leaving a mark in a few days. I will say that the ingredients can be harsh and sometimes I must skip a day or two because my skin becomes dry. So I would be cautious if you have dry or sensitive skin.I wish I did a before picture. But I used to have darker spots and my skin was textured. Now it is smoothe and my pores are much smaller. I’ve already ordered my second bottle after 4 months.

This was recommended to me by an esthetician and I've been using it daily for almost 2mos now and have about a quarter left.. A lot of product comes with it and it's nice and foamy. It does, however, dry out your skin, which is caused by the salicylic acid. It faded away an awful scar caused by a pimple underneath the skin. Beware that it will dry out your skin a lot, but it does cleanse it pretty well.

My aesthetician told me I need to start not only Exfoliating , but to start usual an exfoliating acid product To help with my hormonal breakouts . I use the ayer-medic lotion so decided to try this out. I have not had any major breakouts since starting this product two months ago. It’s a bit drying but my oily face needs it. I only use it at night before bed following a heavy cream. I highly recommend!!

My daughter and I really like this face wash. We have sensitive prone to acne skin and have tried almost EVERYTHING. We have been using this once daily in the morning for the past 3weeks. So far this wash is gentle and non drying. Leaves my skin feeling clean. My skin seems to look clearer and feels less bumpy. My daughters skin is not clearing as quickly as she would like but I have noticed less acne on her forehead and cheeks. Great buying experience and we received this purchase before the other items we purchased in the same order.

I love this Salicylic Wash! The woman who does my facials (Facials by Kristina in Valencia, CA) recommended Ayur-Medic salicylic acid wash a few months ago, I've been using it and loving it ever since. It's a great face wash. It has really helped my skin. I ended up starting to use a few other Ayur-Medic products (like the night cream with Retinol, the calming face wash and the tinted sunscreen). I love everything they make. The fact that it's made in California out of quality ingredients makes me love Ayur-Medic even more.

Love this face wash, have been using it for years even before it was on Amazon. This is one of the most important products that took my acne away. When you put it on your face it gives a tingly feeling, and washes away all the oil. Sometimes it will dry out your skin so try to use a moisturizer, and try to use this product maximum every other day. This face wash isn't an everyday product and it is better if you use it at night, because you don't want to go out in the sun after you have used this product. Also remember to use sunscreen!
