Review: Perfect for post-surgical tissue manipulation without requiring a therapist or bodyworker. - This is the original version of this ball meant to meet your skin texture with a similar texture of its own. Recovering from major abdominal surgery, I've been using this ball partly deflated to roll around on. I lie on top of it and roll along the length of my scar, and it really loosens the tissue and makes the skin and scar less sensitive. I'll have a lot of other uses for this fitness-wise once I can do more, but nothing compares to this non-sticky, soft, skin-like texture. I've had more than my share of surgeries with giant scars, and I wish I'd had an option like this in the past. My physical therapist who is also a yoga teacher swears by these. In terms of functionality, the ball inflated almost instantly with an electric pump, and the pressure is easy to adjust with the stopper. It comes with an extra stopper, too. I identify with the purple color, but I bet the black is really nice, too. (I'm also grateful that the color is more subtle and less shiny than the photo shows.) It's bigger than a women's softball, but smaller than a women's volleyball, in case that helps you get a sense of the size.

**Q: does this ball come with a pump?**
A: You know, I can't remember if it did.  It is super easy to blow up though.  I have bought the Slo Mo balls, and it's EXACTLY the same thing.  They both are good quality, and easy to blow up w/ a plastic tube, or a small pump.    Very durable.  Again, look at slo mo ball.  Way Cheaper for the Exact same thing!

**Q: What is this ball made of? Does it smell funky or chemically?**
A: The Coregeous ball is made of a flexible rubbery type of  polyethylene (I think?) When inflated, it is soft and  really great for working on your back and abdominal muscles. It has just the right amount of give and does a great job while also remaining durable. It does not smell bad at all. Hope this helps.

**Q: do these have any give? I need something not rock hard and has a little give to massage near my ribs**
A: The coregeous ball is fantastic for abdominal/rib/spine rolling.  I use it personally and with many of patients.  It has plenty of give.  It is an inflatable ball so it can have variable give based on your needs.

**Q: I don’t understand how to blow this item up? How do you put the plug in once you blow it up? It immediately deflated when I pull the tube out.**
A: Yes it is tricky. You just have to do it quickly. Perhaps put your finger over the hole is soon as you pull the tube out and then put the plug in.
