I want to start this review by saying that I was never a fan of “choke collars” but I love this collar. I bought it for our new addition. She was found as a stray & was in her second shelter when I found her. She was not used to being on leash & would slip out of her regular collar. I was so scared she’s run off and get hurt so I headed to Amazon & found this. I can even have her with me on a lead while I work in the yard and not have to worry about her getting loose if she tries to go after a squirrel, rabbit, cat, etc.

I liked that this collar had no plastic clasp and instead slid over my dogs head. I did not like that the ring the leash attaches to pulled apart after 5 weeks. My dog is an excitable lab of only 5 months, so not super strong. I’ll try a different brand. I have changed my review to 4 stars as I have been offered a replacement. Hopefully this one holds up.

We have had three of these over the past four months for our two dogs - Australian Shepard and Staffordshire Terrier. The chain on the first one broke within about six weeks and the company sent us a replacement, which has held up so far, but the collar itself is fraying. The chain on the second collar snapped today when the Aussie lunged on our walk. (The rabbit got safely away.) The dogs do occasionally lunge when we encounter critters on our walks, but generally they are not too hard on their collars/leads. I wanted to be able to count on these for more than four months. I’ll be replacing both with a different brand.

I’ve had this collar for 3 months and on a walk this morning with my boy it just fell apart. He could have been hit by a car, thankfully we had just left the house and weren’t far. What a piece of junk. See pic for where the weld gave out. Very disappointed! Buyer beware. This is dangerous.

Good option to train your dog not to pull. It’s more the sound of the chain that lets the dog know that they are pulling, more than an actual pinch. It has a really nice reflective stripe on the collar for visibility.

It's a nice collar with the exception to the chain. Turning the white fur gray. So far, not chewing up the fur which most buckle collars do (I have long fur breeds I show). Otherwise, perfect for young puppies or medium size dogs. I will buy again if I need others.

We take out dogs camping and they have to be tethered within our campsite. This works well. Their regular collars can loosen and slip off their heads. So the only time I use it is when we are camping. I am happy with they way it works.

I bought the large one for my 85lb German Shepherd. "Finally found it in pink." Thought it was too big at first. I put it on her and adjusted it to the tightest it would go and thought it would slip right off her head. I was wrong. It fit great. Especially after seeing how it looked with the leash attached to it. I'm very pleased, and would recommend this to anyone.
