I'm 5'9" and 215 and super shy about leggings. Christmas converted me, and it was clinched by these leggings. I wanted very high waisted leggings, I like the slight (it’s not tight) compression that these leggings offers from just below navel to bust line. This makes for a beautiful, clean line with shirts, tunics, etc.. I am a career professional and wear these to work with boots or booties. I bought another pair from another company that were great as well, but this pair was THE BEST. I bought them for a cruise to Alaska, and they were comfy, stylish, and warm. I didn't get as much use out of them as I had wanted (it was unseasonably warm the week we were there), but I look forward to wearing them this fall/ winter. They are thick enough to wear as pants, and have seams like pants as well. They looked great with a long shirt & boots; I got many compliments! Be warned that they will come up very high & be a touch long if you are short like I am (5'1").
