Mine is very solid, and does not rattle in the saya, which is especially important with a shirasaya. My blade passed the paper cutting test. If you plan to be in a sword battle, or cut bamboo, this would not be the sword for you; but a decent solo training sword, or piece for a collection. I am dubious that this is hand-forged steel, and the hamon is artificial; but the sword arrived much sharper than most high-end swords I have swung. I don’t recommend partner training with this one. I took off a star because I don’t think the description is correct, as the blade is not straight, which is what is pictured in the product photo, and which is what I was looking for. Also, hard to believe this is hand-forged. I am not sure what modern rōnin expect for $65, but the sword I received was well worth the price. Mine is nicely finished, as well. If you want a katana blade shirasaya, and you can’t spend $$$ on it, this isn’t a bad choice — just don’t expect it to be a $500 sword. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by C***R on April 22, 2018* Very nice sword.would buy again ### ⭐ This not a good sword it is not hand forged like they advertise ... *by B***T on June 1, 2018* This not a good sword it is not hand forged like they advertise it as. It is made from a cheap pot metal and is piss week. I would not recomend purchasing this sword to anyone.
