Bambeco Swiss Alps Bee House

This is a larger mason bee house and I actually had some leaf cutter bees nest in it as well. Easy to hang but the tubes are not easy to remove. Will take some prying to get them out. Would buy another one.

This was our second purchase of a Bambeco bee house. The first one worked great and fully expect the same from this one. Greatly improves pollination of of our garden plants.

Mason bees love it

We purchased this exact bee house at Costco a few years back. I did do a little research to see how to make your bee house successful and so I hung our bee house on our fence next to my flowering plants ( varieties of Jasmine , Roses, and Autumn Sage) Its also a quieter area of my yard. It took a month or two but by summer ( purchased in the spring). I would say at least half the holes were plugged ( meaning baby bees growing). I have also found that the little butterfly slit at the top has only ever been used by lizards who moved in to escape being eaten regularly by our dog. I have not done any up keep of this house either. When the baby bees emerge they clear the tunnels. So each fall/ winter all the tunnels are unplugged and ready for the new season. I do see some bees that seem to just live in the tunnels too instead of plugging them up. Overall this was a success in my garden and I am thinking of adding a new house as I expand my garden.

Very cute and well made new house! Was purchased as a Christmas gift this year & was one of the most unique ones yet! Would recommend to purchase for your home to give sanctuary to some deserving bees!
