Samsung – Ice Cream Machine GGH-PJT 220 240V, 50HZ - DA97-11092A

Good replacement for my failed I've maker in my Samsung fridge/freezer.It was a direct replacement, and it works. Not much more to say.

Item was received on schedule and it solved the problem it was purchased for - my samsung american style fridge stopped producing ice, this was bought to replace the old/faulty ice maker. I'm happy with this purchase.

Sorted my problem with no ice being made all ok now

Before replacing this unit the Ice maker had stopped working. Even after following all the good advice on the Samsung site could not get it to work again. The test button pushed the fingers round but they would get stuck. I concluded that the heater element under the freezing tray, which releases the cubes was broken.This unit can be replaced using just a couple of simple tools there are detailed howto videos on line. You do have to remove the backing panel squeeze the side as the (fragile) wiring connectors are located there.A point off for strange description text, this is nothing to do with "Ice Cream Machine" and not including any instructions in the poorly wrapped package which made me wonder if this was a second hand/recycled part.All good now though.

I had the common problem of the ice not being dispensed from the tray, caused by the heater failing. Googled symptoms, watched a couple of YouTube videos, ordered this. Entire replacement took less than twenty minutes. Leave it running for a day for it to get down to temperature and function as intended. If you know which end of a screwdriver to hold, you can do this. It does help if you have someone to hold the door whilst you take the screws out.
