Very easy to set up in my outdoor sump. I have an anti backflow in lineAs the pump moves the water about 40 feet through an underground 1.5 inch pvc pipe to the front yard area. It works flawlessly on the automatic cycle. IT IS SO QUIET!! I can barely hear it when standing over it while it is running. Much quieter than my former submersible pump I had for 8 years in the same sump. I took the thing and found the float was stuck. We also created a catch basin for 2 downspouts and directed that water into the pump basin my husband created from a Home Depot bucket. Our concern was that we needed to run the pump’s discharge hose under a sidewalk which would require us to hydroexcavate under the paver walkway. By doing this the discharge hose ran 2 feet down, under the sidewalk then 2 feet up and around to the discharge area requiring a lengthy hose run. Well, this pump pushes all that water, quickly through this 50’ run.
