I've often wanted a Dutch Oven because of the great soups, stews, etc. that can be made in them. Honestly, a great pot with a lid is nice enough but the Dutch Oven is like the difference between a car and a luxury car. They both get you there but one gets you there in comfort.I'm all by myself and so a full size Dutch Oven is very much overkill for me. I love this thing because, while it is big, it's not too big.It's got a coating on it but it's not like Teflon or whatever. It's more of a porcelain coating and nothing sticks to it. It's great. And it cleans up like a boss. I don't have a dish washer and so easy cleanup is important to me. A little Dawn detergent and I'm good to go with this thing.I made a chicken and rice dish that was almost too much for the pot, tho. I mistakenly added 2 cups of rice, which is an ENORMOUS amount of rice. It was fine, though. I browned the chicken before adding it to the Dutch Oven and then I slow cooked it all together in the pot. It was delicious and I ate that for like a week. It makes a lot of food.I then made a pot of Cincinnati Chili, and I'm still eating on that. The thing makes a ton of food and so you need some good food storage containers and some room in your refrigerator for leftovers.I love this thing.

Wow, when you find something you like, you TELL EVERYONE! I'm telling you, I love this pot. The very first night I got this, I cooked in it. I made homemade scalloped potatoes and ham. The milk and the butter melted into the pan beautifully and the crust was wonderful. When it came time to wash, I put hot water in it, let it soak for about 30 min (I didn't want to scrub and scratch the surface) and simply wiped it clean (then put it in the dishwasher). Easy to clean and pretty RED color. Lightweight and easy to handle. Love the handles and the clear glass lid, best part of the pot. Can't wait to make other yummy dinners in this pot.

Lightweight, easy to clean, perfectly sized cauldron. I've used it to make chili, stew, soup, scratch mac and cheese, and it's terrific. The heat distribution is much better than others in this size and price range I've had and used, the handles are really well shaped, and even with mitts on I am comfortable holding it. It's lightweight but not chintzy; I'd feel confident making just about anything in it, and it washes up in a minute - hot soapy water does it faster than the dishwasher. The color is cheerful too. I hope it holds up, and all signs point to it being a keeper.

This is sooo helpful and pretty haha. i love this brand a lot. It is also very easy to clean , Im getting a smaller version in the near future

The pot itself is light weight and heats up quick which is great. Nothing sticks to the surface so far which makes cleaning so easy. The only real complaint I have is the lid is NOT a good fit so when things start boiling and lid jitters A LOT and makes quite the noise. Maybe I just got a bad lid I don't know. Overall the pot is a great one and I enjoy cooking with it and I feel confident about recommending it to others.

Love it! Not only beautiful and light weight, but also can handle East Indian cooking. Usually our dishes take longer to cook and tend to stick at the bottom. No bottom sticking of food while cooking. Want to buy more in different sizes.

LOVE this pan!! I use it mostly for making spaghetti or mashed potatoes. It is big, glossy, sturdy, beautiful, and has a wonderful and healthful ceramic interior. Can't speak highly enough!

Well, besides putting this in the oven I wanted a pot which can be used on my SMEG induction cooker.. but it can't be used.

I bought this because I wanted a good quality soup pot and this did not disappoint. Its ceramic so you have to be careful with metal spatulas, etc; it doesn't scratch easily but it will scratch eventually if you don't use plastic or wooden spoons. Easy to clean and beautiful to look at. I am glad I bought this pan!
