This was a gift for my 17 year old cross country runner grandson. He opened it, read it over again four times, carried it around and then read it some more! He then said he is going to let his teammates read it! He chuckled and laughed out loud, saying "true, true." A perfect and inexpensive gift for any runner! Cannot wait to get him Volume 2 when published.

I thought this book quite amusing and I am the mother of a runner of multiple marathons, I recognized him in many of the descriptions.

It is simple, great illistrations, and funny.

Having a son for a runner I can relate to all of the cartoons and their captions in this book, and I just know that all of the following books will be equally funny for both those on whom the titles are based on and to those who know such people. Well done Richard.

I ordered this book for my 15 year old niece, who is a runner, for Christmas. I was disappointed because some of the content and pictures were inappropriate for a teenager. A lot of busty cleavage pics and sexual references. So, I ripped out some pages before I gave it to her :-)

Ordered as a gift, but when I browsed through the book I realized I would want to keep gift shopping ... laughs would be because the reader is supposed to laugh, not because any of the cartoon thoughts are just that superbly renderded. Bottomline: okay, but not "special"

I'm no runner, but it didn't matter because I had not had a book tickle my funny bone like this for the longest time. Going immediately into my favorites stash. Excellent!

Bought this for my brother who is a runner. I am not a runner and did not get most of the jokes but he thought it was brilliant. Black and white inside. Quick joke with amusing illustration.

But funny...but wayyy too short. For the price, I would expect more "you know you are a runner..." Like book 2 included at least. It took me 5 minutes to read everything :)

This wee book was so funny, I had to share it with my running friends. The only down side was that it was too short and over in 10 minutes. MORE PLEASE!
