CarharttMen's Rain Defender Loose Fit Heavyweight Full-Zip Sweatshirt

I bought this as I had owned a Carhartt heavy-weight jacket that was great and that lasted for years. After I retired, something lighter was what I was looking for and the Rain Defender did it for me. I have had it for two seasons now and it is in really great shape. It works as advertised and repels rain (I walk in the rain in sometimes freezing conditions), is comfortable, warm, looks great, and has a cool inner pocket where I store personal gear. With an under hoodie or thermals, this jacket keeps me warm down into the 30's. I have to say that I love this jacket and hoodie and am buying another in another color for the sake of selection. I highly recommend this product!!

This hoodie exceeds expectations. Material is awesome; rain resistant, warm, breaths and looks great. Zipper solid. True to size with a wide range to accommodate most. Will purchase again for gifts.

This sweatshirt is exactly as advertised. It's loose fitting without being baggy, so layers could be worn with it if needed. We love that the loose fit makes it easy and comfortable to work and move in. It keeps my husband warm and dry (water resistant) while he works outside in the rain, but isn't bulky. It has been about a month of medium to heavy use and it seems to be pretty hardy- no tarnishing what so ever. Definitely worth the money.

This is the best sweatshirt I have ever owned and its currently my favorite item of clothing. It fits perfectly. It's heavy without being cumbersome. It breathes wonderfully (a feature that isn't hyped up in the description but is definitely appreciated) and it is actually very water resistant (not waterproof, but then...it's a sweatshirt so not sure why would expect that anyway). It is loose without being bulky. Would easily fit under a jacket. It's tough and designed for people who work for a living. I sit at a desk and still love it.I'm not a huge fan of labels and the Carhartt label placement is aesthetically not great, but a few seconds with an exacto knife and I've got a sweatshirt that I plan on wearing for a good portion of the rest of my life. Yes its expensive, but you get quality with the price. The only other complaint I have is that the inner lining flakes off in little black pieces of lint, but a single washing solved this. It's not a flaw so much as an aspect of the design and manufacturing of the product. Wash it in cold water and let it hang dry. After that...no little fuzzballs over your shirts.Seriously, I LOVE THIS SWEATSHIRT.

The product details is wrong. The product description is closer to the truth but still in accurate. The shell 75% Cotton / 25% Polyester. Hood Lining 100% Cotton. The sweat shirt is MADE in Vietnam.THE PRODUCT fits as expected. WELL. Bought it a little large for layers underneath and freedom of movement. It appears to be a quality product with the Carhartt name on it. Rain is on the way we will see how it does.

I believe that the price of this sweatshirt is justified. Before buying this hoodie, I was thinking to myself "no way I'm about to cop a sweatshirt for $60 buckaroonies". But here I am, writing this review. For starters, when I say it is warm, I MEAN IT IS WARM. Shi makes you feel like you're sipping hot chocolate near the fireplace and it's Christmas Eve. For context, I bought these in October, which gives you even more of a reason to believe me. Also, with all this fast-fashion taking over the world, this hoodie has been such a game changer for me because the quality of this hoodie is fye and I live in a penthouse in NYC overlooking the Times Square. Cop this like rn, and trust me. I'm broke, but it's def worth the money and hype. Sorry for no pics im highkey lazy, and I ate too much take-out and I really need to take a dump.

Heavy Duty work wear that is rain resistant. Heavy duty zipper! Comfortable! Good pockets with utility knife small pocket. Will buy more of these!

This has lasted me forever. I wear it all the time. I’m very comfortable. I would suggest drying it on medium heat. I’ve had it for a few years now.

Fits big, at 6'6 230 im usually XL.Should have grabbed the large

Excellent quality hoodie!But be careful of sizing. I’m 6’1” and 200lbs and normally wear an XL. I ordered a L after reading the recommendations of going a size smaller. The L fit like a normal XXL. Exchanged for a M and it fits perfectly.
