The negative reviews mostly state that the things are deceptively advertised as being two pieces. Well, they ARE two pieces. They are just so well made that, when screwed together, the seam between them is undetectable! Isn't that what you'd want? The first few rounds of disconnecting and reconnecting will get the threads broken in. Far from being a flaw, that's an indication of how precise the tolerances are in their production. If the two pieces seem inseparable when you first get them, just use two pairs of pliers and some gentle pressure to get them to disconnect. A single drop of oil will have them sipping-and-sliding forevermore. I clamped it in my vise with rubber jaws, then using a rubber protected pair of pliers I was able to slowly unscrew and separate the pieces. Just be careful not to damage the product.
