Nice quality axe that is easy to sharpen razor sharp with a file. Holds its edge well. Nice weight for limbing, bucking, and felling smaller trees. Pleasure to use. I thinned the handle and reshaped the swell and reduced the very large shoulder then applied multiple coats of boiled linseed oil and turpentine. This axe paired with the Oschenkopf Spalt Fix (Stihl Pro Splitting Axe) for splitting wood make a nice combo for most situations.

I have used several axes since I started heating the wood so I have developed a preference and this is not it. That being said the ax seems well made the edge needed to be sharpened before the first use but that is not why it received the four star rating. The four star rating came from the fact that the handle was so thick that it seemingly weighed as much as the head. This changes the balance point dramatically taking the leverage away from the head where I like it to be. I would say if you are a casual ax user this would be a very good choice for you but if you plan on cutting lots of wood I would recommend something that has a handle that has a proximal taper and a more pronounced fawn's foot.

Found this on Amazon by accident while searching for another brand. The price was great and specs looked good so I took a chance - very pleased! Comes sharp out of the box and the fit and finish is amazing. The yellow paint is a unique and nice touch. The handle feels great and does not vibrate much at all. So far it has had no problems chopping up 5-10 inch fell trees. Really looking forward to using this more. An excellent axe, and when considering the price - an overall amazing value. E ben bilanciata, fantastica. Funziona affilata e solda negli innesti sul manico. Testata e' precisa e lavori al doppio che con la classica ascia, sia con legna verde che con ceppi secchi.

Axe was sharp right out of the box. Exactly the light weight felling axe I was looking for. The fake leather sheath is extremely disappointing for the price of the axe. It only covers the edge and was cut and off the axe when I opened the box. If you order this axe order a leather sheath for it

Ich habe einige auch ältere Äxte und wollte mir gerne eine Ochsenkopf zulegen. Ich habe den Kauf überhaupt nicht bereut. Sehr gute Lastverteilung, liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Die Klinge ist sehr scharf und schneidet das Holz sehr sauber. Ich bin mit dieser Axt sehr zufrieden und werde sie gerne weiter benutzen. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
