SIR7 Men's Linen Casual Lightweight Drawstrintg Elastic Waist Summer Beach Pants

OK, so I am a big guy with a pretty big gut and butt. Size 42 in jeans and those jeans are just barely doable, cuz they’re very tight on me in the waist/gut/butt areas... I mention this just so you get an idea of who the guy is that’s writing this review. Most of the other casual light weight beach pants I ordered online recently have been very tight in the crotch. These SIR7 puppies are not, as I ordered the XX large size. And now, afer having ordered and already returned 4 other brands of XX-Large light beach pants within the last two or three weeks, I am now ordering two more pair of these pants in different colors. I have read some of the other reviews which state that these pants are not very durable. Here’s what I think about that: Hey, if they blow up on me by the end of the summer, who the hell cares right? I mean, come on now, 20 bucks a pair! The Margaritaville pants in XX-Large which I returned were amazingly tight in the butt and gut to where I couldn’t even zip them all the way up, much less button the top button, so in other words, they fit terribly AND they were 78 bucks just for one pair...so I couldn’t care less about whether or not these don’t last that long. Plus, the material is really soft and comfy and I live in an area right now where we’re getting into the 90s during the daytime, so these are superb as they “breathe” really well. In any case, that’s my two cents, for what it’s worth.

These are VERY comfortable. I've seen a few reviews that said they were "cheaply made", but that isn't my experience, they seem perfectly sturdy to me. The only thing I would change is, if I ordered again I'd go one size up, they do shrink a fair amount if you put them in the dryer. I'm 6'2" and I ordered XL, and after drying the waist fits fine, but I'd like a LITTLE more length. But that's a preference thing, they aren't "high waters" or anything. Nice and light for summertime. Overall I'm very satisfied.

The pants are fantastic. They do fit narrow, but not too tight, and I prefer a more fitted pant. They are very comfortable and the draw string is longer which is better and prevents a recoil into the pants which seems to happen with most draw string pants or shorts. They are a great material blend. The length is spot on from the size chart. The only negative is, the grey is not grey, but more like a light khaki. Other than me nor getting the color I expected, they are great and I'll be ordering more.

I bought these on a whim hoping our son would like them. They're comfortable and just the right length with his shoes on. I bought an XL size for my around 5"7 son and they are perfect. I bought a few more in different colors. He hates jeans but these are light weight with breathable fabric making them a perfect fit for my son. Plus.....the drawstrings, if not tied, don't escape into the waistband. There's a small wood like bead on the end that stops it. It's been difficult finding pants that he likes. He's always worn husky kid sizes growing up and he really likes these.

The last pair of pants I bought on June 29th 2024. Today the inseam in the butt crotch area split. This is the second pair of pants that split this way in the last week from the same company. I like the pants they fit well and have the proper length for me size large. However the parents only seem to last approximately one year before the seam splits in the butt crotch area. Revised 6/25/2025 I bought a new pair of these pants size L, color Black. Took the item out of the packageing and hung in closet. After my return window closed I tried on the pants and they were labeled as size large but they were in fact a larger size. The inseam was too long and the waist crotch area was too large. I am starting to question the quality control of their products. My error in not checking out the fit of the pants better when I received them. Demoted 1 star to 3 star review.

My only complaint is the pockets are a bit on the small side. They can hold my phone, keys, and wallet, but it's a little snug. I got these to wear while working at a retail store, because it's so hot and this material is very breathable. Feels like I'm not wearing pants! I got a size up than what I would normally wear because this fabric does not stretch at all. I have meaty thighs and bottom and even in a size bigger, they're a little tight. Especially because they are a low cut. I keep wanting to pull them up a little higher but can't. Since they are draw string, I 'd suggest going up in size if you have some junk in the trunk. They are really well made. I accidently put them in the dryer (I don't recommend) and they only shrunk a little, and no strings came undone, so that's a win. Also, I got the khaki color and even wearing black underwear, you can't see through them. They've been machine washed multiple times and still look good. I'd buy again.

Comfortable

This is a great casual, knock-around pant for the warmer months, and my son loves them. I bought them in several colors for him. The material is a cotton/linen blend, and the drawstring is adjustable and comfotable around the waist. He is 6 ft and medium build, and the length is good without having to roll them up. If you are slim in the thigh and leg, they may be a bit baggy, but for his physique, they fit very nicely. The price can't be beat. The only downside is that you absolutely can not put these pants in the dryer! A warm or cold wash is ok, but they will shrink like crazy if you put them in the dryer. I found that out the hard way. Just hang them to air dry and lightly iron.

Fits true to size, I ordered the small 27-29. I usually buy 29-30 jeans.
