Nice device to brace my screen doir
Easy to install. Just square up the door with shims on the side that is dragging. Once level bolt this device diagonally and bingo. Your door will operate just fine.

Realigned my old porch door
Over the years the old wooden screen door to my porch had drooped to the point that the far corner was starting to touch the floor. Since I plan on refinishing the whole porch in a few years I wanted a simple solution to fix the door in the meantime without replacing it entirely yet. This brace did the trick. It's easy enough to install and with a few twists it had my old door back in alignment again. The brace itself is noticeably thinner than the one I installed on my other screen door several years ago so we'll see how long it lasts but for now it works.

Badly sagging door - completely fixed
I put hours of research into finding a new, decently-made outdoor wooden screen that was pre-treated or had some weather resistance without luck. Finally gave up and found this simple solution. I was skeptical - my door (which is the bottom-barrel, cheapest possible piece of junk) was sagging badly - but this completely fixed the problem. My door is on the narrow side, and this smaller size rod was harder to come by than the larger (50”?) one. Maybe the larger rod might have worked but it would have looked odd. I followed instructions to pre-drill holes so that the wood didn’t crack. I had to use a wrench in order to get enough leverage to tighten the nut in the middle, but I see now that other reviewers took different approaches - e.g., tightened the rod first to where they wanted it by propping up the door first so so that it was level; another said they screwed in one end, then tightened, then screwed on the other end. Pretty psyched to finally have doors that don’t drag across the floor.

A lot easier than cables and hooks type turnbuckle.
It comes with #8 screws. Someone said weaker #6 in a review. I wish it came with a 1/4-28 hex nut or "jam nut", which I added, to keep it's adjustment fixed. A couple drops of Locktite on threads should suffice. I preset/installed both rods(steel) into coupler(aluminum) approximately 10 revolutions, one rod clockwise, the other CCW, to allow about 3/8 adjustment, and get the most threads engaged for strength, without "bottoming out" the rods in the coupler. Used the preset length to mark/pilot drill the 2 "outer" screw locations. Installed outer screws until almost tight, and adjusted the turnbuckle to get door where I wanted, then installed the 2 "inner" screws, and tightened all firmly including jam nut. Added benefit is the door feels more solid.

Does exactly the job it is designed for...
I had to trim about 4" off the bottom edge of my wooden screen door to get it to fit my opening (the instructions said don't trim more than 2"). So, of course, the door was somewhat compromised and it didn't take long to start to sag. I ordered this brace and installed it in about 3 minutes...tightened the turnbuckle and the door was fixed. 2 months later--still no sag.

Nice quality, name brand item
My wooden screen door was expanding in width and drooping on the non-hinge side so I searched for a turnbuckle as a solution. I attached and adjusted it after install and adjusted it again a few days later, after it settled, and my foot works like new. No sag and no more expansion.
