Great upgrade for snow plow cables
They might not be waterproof and/or indestructible, but they're certainly functional and very well built. There is a stout spring clip that applies plenty of clamping pressure for good conduction between the contacts. Mounting the cables into the plastic housing is a simple matter of slipping them in and hearing a click. It's almost impossible for anyone with normal mechanical ability to mess this up. Polarity is clearly marked on both sides so as long as you pay attention, you'll end up with a foolproof quick disconnect. Spray them with some dielectric lubricant to prevent corrosion and put them to work. I bought these to replace the pathetic stock connectors on a Boss snow plow.Note that crimping the lugs onto a wire really does require using a proper crimping tool. Don't smash it flat with a hammer or it won't fit into the plastic holder. If you are installing them on wire smaller than 2AWG, it will require a lot of crimping to get it down small enough for a good hold. It can be done, but it's not pretty.

Works!
although this says it is for 2awg, it worked fine with my 4awg wire using the solder method. Just used a propane torch to melt a few big drops of solder into the metal connectors and then stuck the stripped wire ends into them. a tiny bit of the shielding melted but that wasn't an issue. I finished it off by putting some heat shrink on both + and - sides and then inserted the connectors into the plastic quick connect housing. No problems at all. Don't try to crimp these connectors. I tried and after a few smacks with a hammer using a hammer crimper, all it did was leave scuff marks lol. So the solder method is apparently the only way to make this work unless you're Thor.

Very convenient.
Be sure to buy a hydraulic crimper for attaching the ends to the wire.Be sure to get the right color since the different colors don't work with each other.
