Beautiful strings for the old-time player - still too short
After reading a lot of negative reviews of these strings, including people who call them wet noodles, I'll make a little checklist for you to decide if these are the strings for you -Do you like to play fast bluegrass? These are not for you .Do you like to play loud? These are not for you.Do you like to play in a session? These are not for you. However, do you like to play old-time claw-hammer, largely by yourself, and mostly indoors? These strings are perfect! They have a deep, beautiful, and quiet resonance. Easy on the fingers and easy to play all evening.I knocked one star off because the strings are too short. Full stop. I practically tie knots for a living and found these strings barely long enough to use. It's offensive, honestly, to think that this company is cheaping out on literally an extra 2 centimeters of nylon strings, and despite having all the feedback from costumers, doesn't care enough to change anything. Oh well!

Great Strings - Too Short Though
The strings are great and didn’t break bringing to tune on my old banjo that breaks other nylon/nylgut strings. But if you’re going to make banjo strings without loops, they really need to be longer. I had a miserable time trying to tie loops into these in a way where they would still reach the pegs on strings two and three

Nylon strings on open-back banjo give a mellow "plunky" sound.
I'm experimenting with nylon or ersatz-gut strings (Nylgut) on a couple of 5-string banjos. Open-back banjo players often try to approximate the vintage sound of the old pre-steel-strings recordings, and I'm just beginning to fool around with it.These sound good, and approach the sound I'm looking for. I wish they were available in a slightly heavier gauge, but I'm getting used to the touch (I play "clawhammer" and "double-thumb" styles, with occasional two-finger Charlie Poole style). I am a little concerned about the wound fourth string. Because I, like many other 5-string players will frequently tune that 4th string back and forth (no pun here, folks, move along) the winding on that string can be a concern. I'm noticing some wear on that wound string at the nut because of the changing tunings; I'm also noticing what I consider a bit too early wear at a couple of frets where I frequently "hammer-on)."I'd be interested to see if LaBella would market a set with a solid 0.035 (or thereabouts) diameter forth string as opposed to the 0.025 wound string in their No. 17 set. I'm guessing the solid string would take both the tuning-retuning and the hammer-on a little better; not sure if a thicker string would sound better, of course.Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the old-timey sound. Once the novelty wears off, I may change my mind, but for now it's fun to experiment.

Higher Price but well worth it
I am very happy with these. Excellent to play with. I have bought from most companies and finally I bought these Nylon strings from La Bella. Despite the title of the strings I actually played Blue Grass with them. They are a little on the expensive side but well worth it. I will order another 2 sets plus I will order their Blue Grass strings to test.

If they're good enough for Willie Nelson...
I got a cheap tenor uke as a gift. Strings that came with it were predictably awful. I tried aquila "lava" strings on it but they made the uke sound "brittle." I was looking for a deeper, mellow sound. These Labella strings are perfect for that deeper, full sound you hear from the pro players with way more expensive ukes.Strings are pretty inexpensive, so maybe try several.... But for sure give these strings a try. You won't be disappointed.

Superb strings for a classic ukulele.
These LaBella clear nylon strings are superb on my classic Martin ukulele, with the balanced, round sound I remembered. The seller provided excellent service as well. I recommend both.

A string breaks easily
I have bought two sets of these strings and the A (number 1) string keeps breaking where I tie the knot (at the bottom of the Kmise banjolele). It snaps just as I get the string tuned to A. I have used two different brands before this with no problem. The other three strings sound good but the A string has never stayed intact long enough to play it.

solid
better than GHS tbh and for the price they should be 😂 But the sound is different from Aquila- personal preference is obviously always the deciding factor with strings

Not Sure
Strings can be a subjective thing. I'm not a great fan of wound ukulele strings and I'm not sure about the wound C string in this set but I will play them for a while. Some players might like them but I might go back to Aquila or Worth.
