Aluminum Fixed Mount (Fits OPS Core Style NVG Mount Base) for GoPro Hero 1, Hero 2, Hero 3, Hero 3+, Hero 3 Plus, Hero 4 Camera - Black

This mount is OK. I like the aluminum and it fits pretty securely in the base plate mount. However, the hinge doesn't tighten enough to keep it from moving if it's bumped. It will stay tight enough for normal maneuvering, Individual Movement Techniques, and bumpy rides in vehicles. HOWEVER, if it gets bumped into something like say the ceiling of a vehicle or your rifle while slinging/unslinging your rifle, you have to readjust the camera on the fly. It doesn't even have to be that hard. Not to mention it didn't even come with the nut f the opposite side to tighten the screw! I had to use the nut from my other mount. Its pretty good but there're better ones out there.

This mount clicks perfectly to my V-Tac Valken helmet. Yes there's quite a bit of play, but not enough to were its going to come off on its own, there's no removing the mount unless you press the clip to un-mount the mount from the helmet. Now the play between the helmet and the mount can be simply solved. I put layers of Duck Tape on my helmet right between the mount and the helmet, now there is not even the slightest bit of play. Unfortunately I do not have a Go-Pro camera but i do have the Go-Bot version of it and that's the Geek Pro and it does in fact attach to the mount perfectly. I am very pleased with my set up.

Not a bad little device. I found I need to add a small bit of electrical tape on the underside to get a solid attachment to my helmet.

At first I was a little peeved because it had not mount screw/nut (even though it says the mount screw isn't included). I figured it out that I could push out one of the mount nuts on my other mount bases, and use that one w/one of my other mount screws. All in all, it is a great mount, but I probably would've just paid the extra couple dollars to the BASE MOUNT edition w/centerline channel because it is compatible w/ all the stock mount connections w/the GoPro.

It was a little bit expensive for my taste but its very high quality that i can not deny.

Seriously? This is garbage! It fits the NVG mount great and it is very stout, but it's impossible to tighten the screw/nut from my other mount tight enough to keep the camera from moving. I'm pretty sure if I sneeze the camera will move. What are you trying to pull? Spend your money on a different mount. I'm returning this one.
