This has quite a strong vanilla flavour and the perfect firm but crumbly tablet texture
This has quite a strong vanilla flavour and the perfect firm but crumbly tablet texture. It arrived securely packed in a strong sealed flat plastic bag inside a flat box. You get s surprising amount in 500g. It seems to keep well.

Yummy, yummy in my tummy.
Why can I show some restraint and not eat it all? Butter Tablet is delicious and this one is not only particularly delicious, it is also good value. I would like to say I have still some left, but, I have scoffed the lot. It really is how butter tablet should be, sweet, crumbly and Morris's and not to be shared - that might just be me though! Thank you for speedy delivery and as before delicious tablet. I would recommend to everyone. Especially, people with restraint who could only have a little bit each day. Not,necessarily people like me whole can eat the lot in a day. It really is that yummy.

Simply Brilliant taste of Old Scotland
Book me a session at the Dentists - Good old fashioned Tablet - pure Sugar, pure Flavour, pure Scottish.Every bit as good as I remember, but I am sure that my Dentist would not approve, and I know that my Doctor is glad that the bag has been re-sealed awaiting our Burns Night extravaganza. I'm pretty certain it will disappear in a frenzy of feeding, as I'm sure that our English guests will never have tasted anything quite so sweet before.Go for it, but remember not to eat too much at once

Too sugary
Lots of sugar in these, can hardly taste any butter at all. I couldn't finish the pack because they were just so sickly. I'm a big fan of crumbly fudge/tablet and I can easily devour an entire box in one sitting. However, these feel like I'm just eating brown sugar cubes. The texture isn't anything to shout about either. You can feel the individual grains of sugar in your mouth whilst eating them. They also came in an unmarked plastic bag. I think that this is probably the same with many of the fudge products on Amazon. I guess their way of preserving and packaging them has made them taste just like sugar. I'm sure there are people out there who would love them, but honestly save yourself the trouble and just buy some cane sugar.Meh, not buying again.

Once tried, never forgotten
I've already eaten one pack ! Due to ill-health, and lack of cooking facilities, I'm unable to make it these past many years. Yours tastes "almost as good as Mum's !" Let's just hope sassenachs don't start making it. As Scottish as Toffee Buttons.

Not too bad
Experiences with Dandy Candy have been spot on thus far (they include some free small sweet gifties which is always a nice touch), and this tablet was good. However - if you've got a Scottish family friend with a tablet recipe which is generations-old and incredibly good...you'll notice the difference. I have to say proper tablet makes you forget it's made out of sugar, but this stuff didn't do that.Good though and great fuel for long days.

Just like the best stuff I used to have in the Lake District :)
Crumbly and sweet as opposed to stodgy and sticky. If I weren't back in 'health mode' and living on avocados, prawns, lettuce, ginger and...you get the gist, I WOULD RE-ORDER IMMEDIATELY.If you or someone you know likes fudge, then bloomin' get this stuff. It's gold!Nom nom nom
