We have been using this body wash for a couple of years and love it. It was rated a top body wash by Paula Begoun, The Cosmetic Cop on her website. For us, it has turned out to be a great recommendation. It is a simple, clear, moderately sudsing body wash which effectively cleans the skin without stripping it of vital moisture or leaving an itchy, drying residue. My sensitive, very dry skin appreciates this pH balanced, truly void of fragrances or dyes basic formulation. Although my skin feels clean it feels soft, smooth and not dry. Those in my household with oily, acne prone skin appreciate the simple formula which seems to avoid inclusion of acne causing ingredients and the clean, oil free, non-oily/greasy residue leaving formula. Although it is a natural skincare products, all natural ingredients are considered to have no to extremely low irritation potential (per Paula Begoun). No Lavender or Lemon here. This product does what a body wash should. It removes residue and leaves you clean. It doesn't include hyped up/fad ingredients. It contains just the ingredients to clean without causing damage by drying or irritating our skin. It may be boring but it does its job. No hype. Although there are no fragrances or masking fragrances in this product, it's core scent from combined ingredients is pleasant and clean/fresh. It is a great base to start the day as it doesn't interfere with prescription acne treatments, moisturizing or fine fragrances. We appreciate that it is organic and the cap and tube are recyclable #s 2 and 5 (to rinse out the tube for recycling we found cutting off the crimped end of the bottle opens the main body of the tube for easy cleaning). We hope Desert Essence continues to make this product which is a rare, pure gem in the sea of hyped up, animal tested, animal ingredient, non-recyclable, non-organic, irritating, acne causing, drying, artificially sickly scented and colored body washes.

Great product but the packaging could be improved a whole lot. The product would pour out of the package and the label started to wear off in the shower. Fragrance-free but has a slight neutral scent that disappears as soon as it's washed off.

I have a lot of allergies to perfumes and I love that this body wash is totally fragrance free. It cleans well and does its job. Just wish fragrance free items were less expensive.

Okay! So if you’re used to really scented washes that you can really FEEL getting off grime and drying your skin out a little bit, then this will feel very odd. Like, it works, but there’s basically no smell, no rough dry feeling, none of that. The only indication you have that it works is that you don’t smell or feel sweaty anymore. It’s almost dissatisfying until you adjust. It also suds up REALLY was compared to other body washes, which is nice. So yeah, super gentle, doesn’t dry your skin out, and not terribly terribly expensive. I love it personally!

I've been using Dessert Essence body wash for almost a year now. Since I became ill and suffer from severe headaches along with other problems I could not tolerate any scented body or facial products because it would irritate my symptoms. Dessert Essence body was is the perfect solution for me. It has a super faint scent that smells very natural and pure and it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or parabens. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh.

This is wonderful for sensitive skin and lasts for a good while. My skin is super reactive and irritable and loves this stuff. Even my rugged husband has switched to using it.

Unfortunately, the design of the packaging is almost identical to the design on the body lotion. We've purchased their lotion, but Amazon put this one in my recommendations. Lotion is what we wanted. We haven't opened the Amazon box, but still can't return it. Very unhappy. We would Never spend this much on soap that goes down the drain. Instead, just buy a mild, inexpensive shampoo for body wash. We purchase this lotion because my office bans the use of scented lotions or perfume. The lotion has a very, very slight citrus smell, that goes away quickly. A tip, do not wear scented lotion or perfume to a job interview, that could be the reason you don't get hired. Be careful with Amazon recommendations, sometimes they can pull a fast one. Read c a r e f u l l y.

I bought this product because it has a good rating in term of natural ingredients. As advertised it doesn’t have any smell and it meets expectations in term of efficiency. Now I think it is a bit too expensive.

A very gentle scent less cleanser that foams up and spreads very easy. I’m happy with it tho feels a little ‘oily’, at least to me. Very nice overall

I ordered this and it came exploded in the box. I couldn't use it.
