This was a big success with my mother in-law. She normally has her TV on full volume. With this device installed (very easily) she is able to have the wireless speaker right beside her armchair. The sound is extremely clear on the normal setting, though it also has a tone setting optimised for speech. The volume has thankfully come down to a much more sensible level and my ears have stopped bleeding. She’s very non technical, so the simple single rotary volume/power knob is ideal. The base station has to be powered by a mains power supply, but the speaker unit is rechargeable if you place it on the base when not in use. However, to avoid having to recharge, a second power supply is provided for the speaker unit. It is advised to remove the lithium battery pack if this is the chosen setup. The speaker unit is light and easily portable, the size and shape of a small handbag. A simple stethoscope style headset is also supplied, which works fine, but sort of defeats the object of the wireless speaker. There are several possible connection options at the TV end. All necessary leads are included. A comprehensive manual is also supplied, which I studied AFTER quickly setting up 😀

This type of device has been around for years and I've had 2 brands bookmarked for ages in preparation for my old father finally accepting his hearing loss and needing assistance. I picked Simolio based on Amazon reviews and regret not getting this sooner, as it also helps myself watch movies without headphones while keeping the sound within a personal range. It comes with 2 power adapters so you can detach the speaker from the base but still keep it powered indefinitely and an optical cable (plus the common ones) which will provide the best audio connection with most TVs today. The only minor downside is that we'd prefer to leave the speaker on permanantly but upon switching off the TV the speaker will soon go into standby and requires turning fully off and back on before you hear "TV mode" and the audio connection is restored. Other than that - it's an excellent solution and sound is very clear and the overall build quality seems decent. It's not just for the hard of hearing but for those want to hear film and TV dialogue but find current content and TV speakers to be muffled and flat; or it sounds like everyone is mumbling.

Connected the wireless using the RCA cables, as my samsung smart tv is around 11years old and I cannot find the optical audio out, so obviously doesn't have one, My tv only supports single sound, so when I switch to external there is no sound on my tv. Such a shame I was so looking forward to listening to clear words on the tv, but will have to return it.

My husband has a problem with his hearing and I bought this speaker for him. It is brilliant and he uses it all the time. We had a problem with the set up as the optic cable did not work but my son bypassed it in some way and now it is fully operational. It is on the table next to him as clear as a bell. I would recommend this speaker to anyone who is a bit dead and has to have the television up really loud. A superb buy.

Bought this for my elderly mother. Product is defective: the signal keeps dropping and I need to re-pair the base and receiver every time. So wanted to return -- but went to the drop off location only to be told the seller requires you to go to some central location. Called Amazon customer service and they resolved the issue efficiently.

The LG TV I use this on was replaced by a Sony Bravia in my lounge which has fantastic sound that has an option to bring out speech, but very costly. Even moved to a smaller room the speech on the LG was still overcome by "background" music or just actors mumbling. I paid £350 for a soundbar plus £40 for an optical cable which was a waste of money. For £102 the Simolio would have saved me a fortune if I had found it earlier. The instructions are very in depth but basically just plug the base into the back of the tv ( used the optical one) and the speaker into a socket, leave 3 hours to charge. (go shopping) I checked the settings recommended on the TV but it had auto set them. Then just pick a programme turn it on and listen. WOW! It works with my Fire stick and Freeview. I have some older tvs in other rooms so on the to do list is to use the other 2 cables on them and see if I can just move the base and speaker to wherever I need to use it. The speaker sits on the base and can recharge on it too but I usually have it closer to me, even when its not on charger it lasts ...well not sure as it has never run out and I only put it on charge when I remember. If I have it on too loud for my partner I just use the headphones which are even better sound. It has everything included for every eventuality. I JUST LOVE IT!!! Thank you Simolio. The reason I gave only 4 stars for volume control is that if you change channels you sometimes have to turn it off and on again... can I give 4.9 stars?. Apart from that I have never had to turn the volume up anywhere near max. so no biggie really. Now I can watch without subtitles and laugh in the face of movie makers who try to drown out speech with loud music.

I always had a problem understanding the speech on the tv the words ., sometimes the quality of the sound for me to be able to hear the word was useless . Now l have this new speaker and everything thing is absolutely marvellous, lam able to hear every word clearly and procisely without having to decipher . I would definitely recommend this Simolio speaker to anyone who has a slight hearing problem listening to people talking on the to . I am impressed!!

SM-621D SIMOLIO Wireless TV speaker is a game changer for me. Some hearing impairment has caused me to constantly be turning up the volume on my TV but with this new speaker that now sits on a table beside me I can hear with great clairity at a reduced volume. Advantage is being able to take it into different rooms in the house and still hear music or whatever from the TV. It comes with great instruction pamphlets and every cable needed to connect to TV along with headset and power adapters. If you want it can also connect to your phone or tablet. I am very happy with this purchase!

DOUBLE THE STARS, AWESOME PRODUCT! It's more than my expectation and saved me at least $50 from Simolio. I’m hearing impaired and used to make TV much loud which disturbed my family a lot. I was seeking everywhere for a good product. I made comparisons to several similar wireless TV speakers before ordering. For Simolio SM-621D, besides the built-in digital optical converter and additional power adapter for speaker charging and power supply independently, it also provides an under-chin designed headset which can be connected to the speaker for quietly hearing TV . But for the other similar one, if I prefer optical input and don’t want to return the receiver to the transmitter base for charging . I will have to spend extra money to purchase a digital optical converter and two power adapters (one for digital optical converter, another for receiver), which means I need totally three adapters to support the whole set unit . what a mess. By contrast, I tended to buy from Simolio. I heard Simolio is a professional seller. It turns out that I am completely right. I have to say this is one of my most successful online shopping so far. The unit is extremely easy to set up, built-in digital optical converter box, works perfect for my Smart TV, I can put the speaker next to me, and the TV dialogue is so clear and close to me. Thanks for their thoughtful idea to provide two AC adapters. The super cost performance also makes me very satisfied, I love the speaker. Highly recommend.

I have a noisy air conditioner. This speaker helps me bring the sound closer to me so I can easily turn the TV volume up when the A/C kicks on without disturbing anyone else in the room. When I'm in the same room with my daughter and she's on the phone, I can bring the speaker next to me and turn it in my direction, away from her. That way my TV show doesn't drown out her conversation. FYI I thought it wasn't working after using it a few times. The unit was fully charged. I had it next to me, but no sound came out. I figured it out, all I had to do was turn it off, return it to the base, then when the TV is on (transmiting), just turn the speaker back on and you'll hear the sound. Then take it back off the base and bring it close to you again. You just have to return it to the base to re-engage once in a while. And you also have to wait a moment for the sound to come out. Give it a couple of seconds and you'll hear it come in.

Très bonne enceinte, très pratique, de bonne qualité et fonctionne très bien. Adapté pour les mal entendants. On peut mettre l'enceinte à côté de la personne sans mettre le volume du téléviseur ou le volume très bas pour la famille. Il y a aussi un casque très pratique aussi. Je recommande et mieux qu'une barre de son. Achat pour ma mère, du coup j'en ai pris une pour chez moi.
