Wow. I mean wow. I wasn't sure about this file but it proved me wrong. It filed my natural nails effortlessly and did break them. I have thin nails and this was gentle yet effective, very fine grain, my nails were smooth in a couple of goes. I imagine someone with thicker nails will take a but longer, but I see this nail file will work for all types of nails, natural and synthetic.

Wow! I'd never heard of Czech glass nail files before. I was searching for an enamel one when this one popped up on my search. I then googled "Czech glass nail files," and read all about them and found several websites with dozens of glowing reports, with not one complaint! So I took the bull by the horns and came back to Amazon and ordered this one - tbh, it was hard to choose which colour, maybe I'll buy one of each eventually, one for each room! This glass nail file makes filing fingernails an absolute doddle - it just glides so smoothly, you only need one swipe, not several like a normal emery board or metal file. Then all you have to do is hold it under a running tap for a few seconds, leave it on the side to air dry, and voilà! It's good to go again, or store it back in its lovely hard case. My sister has very hard big toenails that normally the podiatrist has to tackle, but I sent her a glass file and she said it's brilliant and easy to do herself now. I definitely recommend you buy one. It won't disappoint. (And while I'm here, let me also recommend the Czech glass foot file. Also much easier and better than a pumice stone.)

Fantastic nail file.

This file is perfect for more than just nails. It's an all round versatile tool that easily handles nail care and promotes healthy nail & skin growth. NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THE SKIN BUT... It removes overgrown hard calloused skin around the free edge and along the sides of your nails & leaves it feeling like normal, smooth, supple skin. It's not a permanent fix, as callouses continue forming over time, but it's no issue to keep doing a little here & there. It's natural for callouses to form, as we use our hands a lot, but it's rarely mentioned compared to hard skin on your feet. Manual workers, and gardeners, may get callouses on their palms. Google callouses beside nails if you don't believe me... I did plenty of research before investing in this file, as I haven't been 100% happy with emery boards for a long while, even though I've used them all my life! I'm really glad I took the plunge now. It glides across the ends of your nails, with very little pressure, to file them back. It is also very easy to manipulate whether you are filing straight or curves. Straight edges that you just can't achieve with emery boards will now be perfect, with a bit of control. Held at 45° to the free edge, with a slight downward motion, it also seals the end of your nails to prevent them feeling sharp and catching on things. Doing it makes them less prone to peeling, breaking &water damage also. If you are very gentle, you can lightly glide it over the nails to remove visible stuck on cuticle. I am carefully NOT recommending that you file the Eponychium or underneath it! Look up parts if the nail if you aren't sure what that is. It removes hang nails with ease. I glide it against the direction of growth to get a really smooth finish. I have rinsed it and that easily removes nail filings and restores the "gritty" surface again. The pointy end is great for a little tweak in awkward to reach places and you can use it to clean your nails also, just be careful. I can't really comment on it's longevity yet, as I've only had it a short time, but I can imagine it lasting well, given it's performance so far. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. I'm very, very pleased with it so far.

Excellent product and the fact that it had a cover was an added bonus. Good value for money. I ordered another to give as part of a Christmas present. Highly recommend.

Best glass nail file I have ever bought, not only does the job as described but looks stunning..I will happily buy these as gifts for others. I have very poor thin nails which tear easy and have found this file is perfect for keeping them neat.,.

The nail file is nice if rather small. The blue plastic case is not good quality. It doesn’t close well and has opened in a handbag. I’ve ordered a different brand I’ve had previously.

The file is good and has not worn down after using it for months. I bought this to replace my more expensive glass file which broke and it has served me well in replacement. The case is great for storage and protects it.

It’s also surprisingly gentle. I was worried it would be too harsh, but it shapes without damaging. Perfect for anyone with thinner or more delicate nails. Cleaning is a breeze — just rinse under water and it’s done. No residue, no fuss.

A lot of attention to detail on the packaging and instruction. Great file. Not all glass files are good but thid one is great. My last one broke because it didn't have a case so this is a plus.
