He was over the moon he was the same height as me when I walked beside him. We never had one of these when our own children were small, so can’t really compare with other types. But this was perfect for country walks. Hubby said he wasn’t too heavy at all, he is a year old. Grandson never grumbled or was chewy when we were out, not sure if he would be able to sleep in it, so don’t know how a smaller baby would be in it. Haven’t used sun shade or rain hood either. I was surprised how much room there was in the little storage compartment, enough space for purse, nappies, wipes, drinking cup and lots of space for other bits. Was east to put him in it, we sat him in it on the kitchen worktop and hubby ‘backed into it’ very easy to adjust to fit properly when it was in. We live on a farm which a lot of the land is inaccessible with a pram. And now our little one is coming up to one years old, he’s too heavy for my front. From the child’s point of view he seems very comfy and happy. Able to see all around and bob along nicely. From the carriers point of view. Me and my husband have difference problems with it. For me I am shorter than my husband, but still a tall lady at 5ft8 and the legs (you can’t see in the photos but inside are legs so it’s stands up on its own whilst loading) dig into the top of my bum. Quite painful after a while. I’ve started wrapping a hoodie around my waist to cushion the legs prodding into me. My husband is 6ft2 so doesn’t have this problem it doesn’t reach his bum. But he finds the straps in comfy and even on the tightest setting seems to feel like the back pack is not flush with his back. Don’t get me wrong overall we love the product and it has solved the problem.
