Handy and useful!
Very handy and replaces the need for the black light for eye stains.

High Quality Light. Low Quality Pen.
Light is impressively bright and blue, and exceeds expectations. Pen is structurally flawed as others have described. Lightbulb is too small/short and jiggles inside the screw-in cap, causing poor battery contact and flickering. This was easily fixed by gluing the bulb to the cap. A total game-changer for examining infants and the elderly.

Excellent blue light but concern about quality
A bit disappointing especially noting previous 5 star reviews. Difficult to turn on and off. Light flickers. Blue filter is loose and seems at risk of falling out. Price is good and bright blue light excellent. Battery life is an estimate but should be good. Durability also an estimate but given that the product already has issues I do not predict a long life.

Does not work
This product does not work (no light produced at all). I ordered a second one hoping it was a manufacturing defect, but the second one was also nonfunctional. Very disappointing!

Great penlight for the price
This is a great inexpensive alternative to the pricey Welch Allyn penlites. Work just as well. I would buy again.
