Delphi BU9078DT MaxStart AGM Premium Automotive Battery, Group Size 78DT (Dual Terminal)

Did some research as I've never heard that Delphi made a battery. I recognized the name however, from my old bodyshop days. Turns out, they have been making batteries for several well known brands for years and they just started putting their name on it and selling direct. Probably couldn't contractually do so for awhile I imagine. Batteries have gotten very expensive and this was a great value. I cannot yet speak to its longevity, but I'll update another time (especially if it dies on me, too soon). So far, so good. Also my first AGM battery, so we'll really be curious how it goes. Certainly does the job. Fired up my truck with ease, multiple times now and sometimes with a week or so between starts since I don't drive it too often. It is very very heavy, so just a heads-up. Satisfied, so far.

I put this into my 25 year old Dakota pickup with some re4ally sketchy wiring and it works just fine. I was worried that my old battery died because of a parasitic drain but it was just a three year old Walmart battery which had lasted far longer than most, is what I hear now. I like this one's cranking power and the fact that it measures well over 14.4 volts while the engine runs as measured with a multimeter. This is exactly what my dad always taught me to look for in a new battery. The alternator is fine and the battery is charging in the proper fashion. I hope to get a very long life out of this one!

The Delphi AGM is probably a pretty good battery. But the one i bought failed after 5 months. And the return window is only 30 days, so I'm screwed out of $200.The problem is the shipping. This is a very heavy item, and it was shipped loose in a box with very little padding. It was bounced around until something inside was damaged, unseen and unseeable. I could see bruises in the plastic case, on all 8 corners, so I know it got rough handling. I installed it anyway, and it worked fine for awhile. But now I know better.If I had bought any brand of battery at any local seller, I'd have a 3 or 4 year warranty. And I'd get my $200 back. But not on this one, not now. I will never buy any automotive battery online again.

The battery is like most batteries purpose built. I gave it 4 stars on longevity because no battery lasts. Now the customer service they did me a solid. The first battery was missing one of the plastic insulting caps and the other was damaged .It was still a good battery so I was going to keep it ,but I was upset it seemed someone else got it first and returned it . I emailed the seller and tried to replace the insulators to my surprise they sent a new battery and told me to do what I want with the other battery. I know who will be selling me my next battery .

The manufacture has great product. It the UPS delivery that is the problem. They bang up the battery and place it outside of your gate. I received mine with the terminals bent and protective covers broken off. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars.

My battery came in good shape, the box was a little shredded (a wet cell battery will do that) but the battery was undamaged and had "almost" a full charge. It charged up and went into my car fine and has held fine with a cut off switch on it. I haven't had it very long so I can't say how long it will last but I don't use that car very much so I'm hoping this will be the last battery I will have to buy for a long time. So far, so good.

It's amazing any of their batteries survive shipment how poorly they are packed

High quality AGM battery. Replaced a prematurely failed red top battery with this based on a friend's recomendation.Could not be happier.
