Surprisingly, it doesn't have a polished or fully "finished" look and feels like it'll get tatty easily. The book I received has some of the writing on the front missing which looks like its just been rubbed off and the white section of the cover just looks and feels like paper. It really needed a coated finish to protect it from permanent finger prints and general wear and tear. Heaven forbid kids should get their hands on it, it'd be ruined in one grab. Saying that, its just me being pedantic as I'm very particular about my books and keeping them in good nick. Once I started reading the book I was pleasantly surprised. It's just like reading Mrs Hinch's instagram stories. Which, after all is why she's so popular, so it makes sense for it to follow the same kind of format. I don't really understand the negative reviews, what people were expecting? Most of the negative reviews appear to be people who are opposed to Mrs Hinch's particular brand and method of cleaning, so why they chose to buy her book and review it I'll never know. I do follow Mrs Hinch and I'm quite a fan, so I enjoyed the book. Her colloquialisms really do come through so you feel like you're having a chat with a friend rather than reading an instruction manual. I appreciated that, though it seems others don't *sigh*. Yes, it's not groundbreaking literature, but if you're expecting that from a book like this you're really are asking a bit much. It's a good book to read with a cup of tea in your hand, snuggled on the sofa after putting the kids to bed. It has a fair few hints and tips I'd missed on her instagram and its a good source of little information to use for quick reference if you want to have a hitch around the house. Review: An extension of her Instagram. I enjoyed it - I like this book. It's exactly what I was expecting... Easy to read, light hearted, funny, some tips, some autobiographical information, some information about her anxiety, basically an extension of her Instagram account. From reading the other reviews it seems there are an awful lot of disappointed literary critics out there who have an issue with the language used etc which I find a bit odd...were they expecting her to write differently to how she speaks? If you're looking for a masterpiece then perhaps Shakespeare, Chaucer or Turgenev is more your bag... Mrs Hinch perhaps you should do a hinch to a scene from Macbeth one time instead of a song to satisfy your intellectual 'hinchers'. As for the suffragette comment... I wasn't aware the suffragettes motto was 'votes for women keep your house minging'. I'm sure even Mrs Pankhurst would have appreciated a nice home. And unless I'm mistaken the suffragettes were fighting for women not only to have the right to vote but also for them to be successful in their own right and financially independent, both of which Mrs Hinch has accomplished. Might I also add that this comment is a stereotype in itself because at no point does Mrs Hinch advocate that her book is only for women. So in summary... It's a nice book, an easy read, it's not high brow literature but I don't think it was ever pitched as such. I've bought a second copy for my friend who has similar anxiety issues to Mrs Hinch. I would recommend it.... And I have bought it...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Soph, your book is amazing!! 🤩📖🤓🧼 It’s so lovely how you inspire so many of us to take care of our homes but also to enjoy them. My house is becoming a home and that is thanks to you. Gone are the days where I would leave dirt and clothes to build up until I was miserable looking at them and had to do a huge overwhelming clean. Now I clean my home little & often, whack some tunes on and enjoy myself. You gave me the courage to tackle my oven finally!! It really does soothe your soul and you have made a difference to so many lives battling anxiety and depression. It was nice to read about how you deal with your anxiety, and sometimes how you didn’t deal with it. Nobody’s perfect but nobody’s alone, sometimes you need to curl up on the sofa with your mum or have a big fur baby cuddle, and you show us that’s okay. The chapter on the dorgeous Henry Hinch made me smile so much! I want a fur baby more than anything so I could really relate. It made me laugh that he was the one to trip over the patio step, all the best! 😂 I just wanted to add to this review that of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, how would I know if that dodgy seller from China is legit or not?! But those people who have gone out of their way to leave spiteful scathing reviews, the day this book was released, shame. Shame on you for personally attacking a woman doing her best to bring a little happiness to the rest of us. I could say a lot more here but this is about the book not you. A no. 1 best seller!! Amazing, you deserve it Mrs Hinch.

How to use cleaning as a mood booster
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think some of the more negative reviewers may have missed the point of the book. It’s not a cleaning manual, it’s a book of tips and suggestions on how to use cleaning as a tool to boost your mood and add happiness to your life. Mrs Hinch makes a good point in saying that we all have to clean, so we might as well enjoy it as much as we can. Her book tells us a bit about her and how she has employed that philosophy to soothe her own anxieties in today’s world and build, and appreciate, a simple, happy home life on a budget. A lot of social influencers feature high glamour and designer items on their accounts, showcasing homes, wardrobes and lives that are out of reach of most people. Mrs Hinch uses her account and this book to show us that you don’t need money or a lot of free time to have a beautiful home or a happy life. The book is a window into how to enjoy the simple and mundane, using products that anybody, no matter how tight their budget, can afford. It’s a book about how to make the most of what you’ve got and a lesson in how, ultimately, we all have the option of choosing to embrace the positive and to find joy in ordinary, everyday life. I will be displaying Mrs Hinch’s book on my coffee table to remind me to try and find the positive and appreciate what I’ve got. I will also be using it as a handy reference guide and a place to write my own lists of what my home goals are to boost my motivation. So if you are after a bit of motivation, feel like your home and life could do with a bit more joy and positivity and you like the idea of appreciating the simple things in life, then I would highly recommend this book by a lovely woman who just wants to share what’s worked for her and spread a bit of sparkle and happiness.

All the best!
I never leave reviews or comment on social media posts, even if I’m really riled by something. I just don’t see the point in being negative and choose to steer away from things I don’t like. With that being said, after seeing Mrs Hinch’s story about negative reviews on here I thought I’d have a look, thinking they can’t be that bad. I’m actually appalled. My honest opinion on the book...I’ve been following Sophie on instagram since October. I’ve picked up some helpful tips and I enjoy watching her stories when I get chance. She seems a genuine, lovely person and if I didn’t like her page I wouldn’t follow it. Her book is exactly what it says on the tin! Yes, some of the hints and tips are repeated from Insta but we all already knew that. She gives a bit more insight into her life before hinching and about how this all started. Sophie also talks a lot about her anxiety, something a lot of her followers relate to. The book is written by a ghost writer in exactly the style Mrs Hinch talks, any other way would be fake. I love the little sections that you can jot down your own thoughts and lists, something a few books recently have included (Fearne Cotton). All in all I’m enjoying reading it and feel I’ve got exactly what I paid for. I don’t feel I’ve been conned, no one has forced my hand into buying this book or any products Mrs Hinch uses for that matter. I’m an adult and I choose to spend my money and time how I see fit. Those who don’t like the book or the insta page, simply shouldn’t look at it/get a refund, it’s really quite that simple.

GOOD READ!!! SO HELPFUL
I dont know what the 1 stars are about because its not a bad book, mine came today and I had a skim through and I think its really good, fair enough it has a lot of what's already on insta but not every one has insta and its easy enough just to look through and look for what you need instead of searching through her Instagram page, it has lots of tips from the best products to buy to her dog, at first Reading through I thought it was just going to be all about her and her life which I thought oh great what a waste of money I bought it to get a few tips but as you get further in it does get to that and it does give you the motivation to want to clean more, i love that it lists down a lot of the products she uses and where to get them and stuff like where she gets her rug etc at affordable prices, I dont get why she explains the reasons behind the words she says but each to their own I suppose some people are in to that, not only that but its helpful for people who are feeling low and just needs that pick me up and distraction All in all I think its a good book at an affordable price, I'm even thinking about getting my mum one. Its a nice little read and I reccomened buying one

An amazing page turner! It feels like Mrs hinch is in the room with you whilst reading it!
I couldn’t of been happier when this arrived in the post! I kept looking on my amazon app for what felt like all day waiting for that little green dot to fill the “delivered” section... then I found myself in WHSmith tempted to buy it but they had completely sold out so I checked my app again and it had been delivered to I rushed my boyfriend from the high street to the car and drove home, within minutes the kettle was boiled, favourite blanket was out, and I was reading it! It was honestly a struggle to put it down... I didn’t even want to tear myself away to make the tea so we ordered a delivery... oops! It honestly is amazing from the first page to the last, it’s a real page turner! I’d suffered with anxiety, and like Mrs hinch cleaning became an escape from that because when you were cleaning your mind was distracted from it and nothing brought me greater joy than cleaning an oven, or a bathroom or sink and I respect so much that Mrs hinch has mentioned her anxiety on her insta and in this book and with such a large and varied platform she has the chance to do something amazing, and she’s already begun, by speaking out about her own anxiety she’s making it less of a taboo subject and making people More confident to speak out about it and for that I respect her hugely! Keep going Mrs hinch your doing amazingly! You should give yourself a pat on the back for everything you’ve done up until now and everything that you will go onto achieve in the future! An amazing book! I hope there’s more to come! All the best to you, mr hinch, Henry and baby hinch 💙 x x

So much more than just a book about cleaning!
I couldn’t put this book down!! In total, it’s taken 2 hours to read it, create a hinching playlist, and bookmark sections of the book I know I will want to return to!! I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve definitely related. This is one of the best books I’ve read, because it’s so raw, and naturally written. I feel like I was sat next to Mrs Hinch having a conversation with a friend whilst she spoke to me (rather than me laying in bed with my cat)! It brings so much into perspective, about what is and isn’t important in your own life. Sophie has opened up to millions about some really sensitive and private parts of her life.. which makes me think ‘if she can get through some difficult times, than so can i’. It’s all about how cleaning can help with sensitive issues, and facing those dreaded words ‘mental health’ with a giant kick up the butt. I can’t even put into words how not only helpful but enjoyable and eye opening this book has been for me. Mrs Hinch. If you ever read this... you should be SO proud. Thankyou for being you and sharing yourselves with us. You are amazing! A proud hincher I will always be!!
