I mix 1 cup of the Merrick puppy kibble with one half can of this food, and my dog gets it twice a day. He's 45 lbs and that seems to be the right amount of food for him. Roughly 1000 kcal. The food gave him diarrhea at first, but I started mixing in some probiotics and psyllium into the food, and the diarrhea resolved in a few days.
