The Ecology Book

Rented it from a Library, and I liked it enough I wanted my own. A lot of information to read, and a lot of bright colors and photos. Book has 350 pages in it, it's very large. Arrived in perfect condition and no damages.

Book came in great shape

It is a very nice book, as all DK books are. Except it is a bit advanced for what I intended, I planned to use it for an advanced 5th graders homeschooling, but this is more like high school level. It has the vibe of a high school textbook, so not quite what I was going for. But it is very nice and full of info.

Great primer on the field (and sub-fields) of Ecology. I definitely learned so much from reading this one!

Excellent book for ecologists and botanists

I bought this book from my local bookstore, but I wanted to review it here! This book is full of information and wonderful graphics. I've come across quite a few typos in the book, but otherwise nothing major. I'm currently saving to major in wildlife biology and decided to by this just to learn a little more in the meantime. This book has been so useful and I 10/10 recommend!!

Not even halfway through and it's already one of my favorite overview books of all time. Unfortunately had a bad fallout experience of sorts with ecology in University (hard math driven course), but came to appreciate nature through being in nature a lot and this is an essential guidebook. Definitely will buy- was just what I was looking for at a local library

What a great series from DK but this one in particular is packed full with interesting information which makes it great value for money.

Fantastic overview of all the fundamental principles of ecology! For anyone who wants to understand terminology and theories in this subject, this is a wonderful book, especially if this subject is new to you. The pictures and diagrams are well laid out so that if you are a visual learner, as most of us are, you will find it informative and clear. What an important book for this age of environmental crisis.

Good book for students starting out with understanding ecology. This an abundantly illustrated book where the fundamental concepts of ecology are really well-explained with contextual examples. DK as usual has kept up its wonderful quality of reference books with this! The five stars are for the quality of the book. The book was however poorly packed by the seller, with only a plastic bag, and no padding. It was consequently delivered in a damaged condition, with a dent and scratch on the hardbound front cover.
