Excellent chopper, heavy enough to stay put, small enough not to clog up the bench, pleasure to use.
Nice cast base, sturdy easy on the fingers / hand handle, enough weight not to wiggle around , small enough that you don't have to give up (or clear off!) lots of bench space. This one, unlike some others, uses single edged razor blades, which are supported firmly close enough to the cutting edge they don't flex, or at least if they do it's imperceptable to me. Stiff enough to dice up popsicle sticks and less tough wood and plastic materials, OK angles and stops. If you are ham fisted you can make the stop move when you don't want it to but we're dicing up small stuff here, not 6 X 6 beams. All in all a very nice tool, a step up from others masonite and aluminum bar stock handles although those work too. I'm glad I spent the extra money to get this, it's one of those tools that is just pleasant to use.

Great product!
Bought this to cut clear plastic for windows on the buildings of my train layout. Works like a charm. Wish it would have come with a few razor blades, though. And I still have my fingertips, just a razorblade comes close at times!

It's expensive, but if you need it, you need it.
I hesitated for a long time to buy this, because of the cost. It seems like such a simple concept, you'd think there would be other people making these at a range of prices and quality. But there are very few. I did want something that would hold up, and that was as accurate as possible. I've had two different miter shears that some crafters rave about, but neither one really worked well for me -- either it left an unwanted impression on the wood, or the blade wasn't aligned right and wasn't adjustable, so it was worthless. Also, in both cases, they were difficult to use because of my carpal tunnel and arthritis in my hands. This works well, seems to be of high quality, and requires little effort. In the end, I am very happy I purchased this.

Watch out for the tops of your fingers!
This thing is The Bomb for chopping up styrene. I learned the hard way that it is also quite adept at slicing your knuckles. Your normal reflex after chopping a bit of plastic is to reach your hand in there and grab the chopped bit - it won’t be easy to reach if it’s a small part. Reaching in there almost ensures that you will slice the top of one of your fingers on the super-sharp blade. I did it twice in the course of my first hour with the device. I learned the hard way that you have to fish out the bits of plastic with tweezers or an X-acto knife. But overall it does what it’s supposed to do. Not super accurate for cutting tiny bits less than 1/8 to 1/4 inch long. Also wish it were steel, so I could use magnets to hold the angle guides onto the side of the device so I won’t lose them on my bench.

Great item
Great item, better than some of the cheaper units, use it most of the week as a hobby knife, love the adjustments

Works
Works great, but not on all wood thickness over 4mm.

My Honest Opinion
I think the item works well overall, but I feel it could be a bit heavier to prevent any movement during use. Additionally, the side clips should be stronger to keep the metal sides securely in place. Other than that, it’s a solid product and worth its value. It’s easy to clean, the size is great for minimal use, and the blade speed is efficient. The color is nice, but I’d love to see more options available. As for durability I’ve been using it for six months, and it still works amazingly well.

Great tool for clean identical cuts.
Personally purchased to cut polystyrene/plaplate for Gunpla customizarion where I wasn't as easily able to cut identical widths consistently. Perfectly solved that issue.

I've just bought this guillotine and the strongest point is that is well made from die-cast aluminium..Is precise enough but you need to always verify before starting to cut, adjustments are easy to make, blade is razor sharp and can be replaced, the price is to high but there is no other comparison product unfortunately..

It allows repeatable clean cuts. Solid diecast frame gives a gives a rigid feeling during operation.
