Overall very happy with the product. BUT, if you don't do a lot of D.I.Y. this will not be a quick or easy assembly. The instruction are next to useless. I had to lay it all out to work out what went where. The main stumbling block apart from lack of instruction and not all items numbered was the little white grommets on the sides that prevent the door from falling down when opened, they have an open side and a closed side. Assemble with the closed side towards the top which is indicated by item 8 and I think 1. It maybe just me but I spent half an hour thinking it out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Sound and Good Looking *by P***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2019* The mdf pieces were accurately made and fitted together Ikea-style with screwed-in posts and drop in/twist locks. Instructions are of the universal no-language type and could be better. To say easy assembly is stretching it a bit - there are 15 mdf pieces and 66 other bits, posts and locks, screws, etc. There was one problem (makers please note): the shelves are fastened to the large swivelling hinges with screws that pass through the plastic hinge and into the ends of each shelf. I found that if you try to fully tighten the screws, the head will go right through the hole in the plastic hinge, and you’re suddenly left with no fix! I cured this with small thin washers, but not tightening the screws fully would probably be ok. The end result is smart and neat. I love the colour, but it’s not oak! Each door/shelves section swings open easily against a stop, and when you close it the balance and weight distribution pulls the door closed nicely. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars As described and fit for purpose *by C***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 June 2019* We received this when we bought our house and it fits perfectly by the front door. We did find however that anything above a size 7/8 needs to go in at an angle to fit in but since there are only two of us this isn't really a problem. Also be aware that flip flops or kid shoes have a habit of falling between the shelves and getting wedged! We also found that after a couple of months the unit became loose in a few places after using daily so we have had to glue it in some places.
